New 4Runner

Toyota guy since 1973 but just traded my beloved FJ on my first 4Runner.

Nope. Because 10 minutes after I got it home from the dealer, my grandson closed the garage door on it. Not too much damage was done. And neither to the Toyota. Lol! It’s in the body shop as we speak.

 

Damn! Some tough luck, but you got a nice ride!

 

I bought my first Hi Lux 4x4 in 1980. It was rusty, but great. I’ve owned a few since then, haha. I try not to get sentimental about heartless pieces of steel, plastic and rubber, but my 4 Runner is a cool well built vehicle.

 

I was told that I’d miss my FJ when I traded it and they were right. But after a few back surgeries I just couldn’t take the ride anymore. But I’m very quickly getting attached to this 4Runner. Just got it back from the body shop and it looks brand new again. The only complaint I had was it’s really sluggish when I accelerate. I figured that was just the way it was going to be. And then I ran across a device called the Pedal Commander. That definitely solved that issue. Now it accelerates like a bat out of hell.

Thank you. How are you guys doing in Florida? My brother just sent some crews down there for cleanup. He couldn’t believe the destruction from the hurricane.
