Climate Control Knobs, etc.

I replaced the climate control knobs with black knobs, but am looking for a decal/sticker that will cover the outer rings that go around the knobs.....the "sliver/grey" area that shows fan speed and temperature. Any thoughts on where to get something like this or any ideas on how to hack it myself? I've thought about a round, black sticker - cut it to fit and just cover up the ring...I mean, it's just fan speed and temp, right?

Thoughts?

 

Following. I'm surprised someone hasn't 3d scanned this part yet and came up with something. It's been talked about forever now. I'd like something that still showed the info myself

 

I'd like to have the rings show the info, too...but would settle for just a self-hacked black ring. The silver is bugging me. Everything else on that dash has been covered in matte black.

 

Based on a post in a FB group, www.trailmade.com has something in the works. They already made an all black transfer case dial knob.

Any luck finding it? It's the only thing not black on my whole console now. It drives me nuts.

Sadly, no. I did, however, buy some round, black vinyl decals that should work to cover the silver and plan to cut them to size and stick them on the silver parts.... Here's hoping.

Well, if you graduated to watch Romper Stomper in your late teenage years, then you were old enough to partake in the Romper Room tv show earlier in life. Those etsy dials are pure shite. And that one poster's center console is starting to look like the A-Team's Van Design Team sold him some accessories. "so then I got another piece of cheap plastic...black with red stripe..."

It's like going to the mall with your wife that one time a year, do yourself a favor, let her advise you on what actually looks good design wise.

 

I used vinyl headlight wrap on mine. Right side done in smoke wrap, left is stock. Could use the darker wrap and still see the tick marks.

 

That's funny. My uncle used to be the camera guy on TV show. He also brought me home a German Shepherd puppy that we named Romper.

 

Pass, my OEM knobs are perfectly fine.
