I currently own my second 4Runner and want to trade it in. I think Blind Spot Monitoring is a great safely feature. It does not look like it will be offered in 2019. Most of the other Toyota models offer it. Does anybody know when Toyota will make BSM available on 4Runners?

You can use crv mirrors with the extra convex lense or adjust the factory mirror a bit; havent noticed a blind spot on my 18 orp

Don’t know when it’ll be offered, maybe 2020/2021.

Personally, I prefer to look over my shoulder and use my mirrors and that’s because I feel driving is a very analog action.

I use RAV4 convex mirrors for blind spot.

Dude. I drove my old ladys, moms fancy rig the other day. I could NOT stand all the shit it did. Vibrated the steering wheel if you were 2" left or right of lane. Beeps, buzzes, lights. I turned it all fucking off, so I... I , could just drive the damn thing. Maybe I'm OG, and lame. But, I'll pass on all that shit. Hell, I just want tire pressure monitoring on my runner lol. Some info like that, I'm down.

Then again, i think those that cant drive a manual,... are turds lol. So, maybe just me.

You should try driving my 5th gen Camaro. The 4runner feels totally fine to me, and with the mirrors properly adjusted (which almost nobody does), it is perfectly safe as long as you're paying attention.

As to the original question, who knows. Probably when the 6th gen comes out.

But without the nannies I can't freely text and drive or troll Fakebook while driving. That's bullshit! An it's also bullshit I have to turn my own lights on and still have to actually turn a key instead of push a button...just ridiculous!! :rolleyes:o_O
