I've loved Toyotas since I got my 91 pickup 15 years ago. I've been wanting an 80's 4Runner for a while and I finally took the plunge with a white sr5 4wd. It came with some 31's and some strange seats, but is otherwise stock. I plan on making a few changes to make it more off road worthy, but I just want to hit the beach or a trail asap. That wasn't happening until I replaced the drivers side mirror glass and fixed the passenger side power window. The window started working when I tapped the relay, and the glass arrived today. Maybe this weekend or next. Depends on how soon I can get the mirror cut to fit.IMG_1241.jpg I was removing the stock spare when I realized I hadn't taken a picture of it yet.

Some bumpers would be good a good start. There's nothing on the front, and I'd like something with a little more protection in the back. Maybe a small lift and bigger tires.

I'd like to report that the manual mirror I found on eBay is a perfect fit for my power mirror without cutting. Tomorrow we head for the hills.

Nice! Reminds me of mine when I first bought it! The stock bumpers are just for show. If you plan on hitting the trails, get some rock bumpers n sliders asap. Welcome to the forum btw.

Definitely getting bumpers, sliders, and a skid plate or two. I hit a couple of spots in my inaugural outing that had me wishing I already had skid plates. Though, after a day of driving, I'm thinking seats might make it to the top of my list. A couple of 2 hour drives convinced me to move those higher. I'm getting too old to deal with stiff backs after long drives. Thanks, btw.
