Does that Barcelona Red have a maroon look to it or is it "straight up red" like the 90's 4runners?

I opened the shutter valves on the KDSS accumulator 2 turns. Then I flexed the suspension to try to get it to level itself out. Then when your done, make sure to close the shutter valves. I wouldn't open the valves more that 2 1/2 at most. It can get very pricey if you have to get your KDSS recalibrated.

Yes it does. You can see the difference in the color of the jack, it is "straight up red". lol

@ruiz4251 here is the KDSS calibration instructions from Toyota.

Like it was said, don’t back out the valves too much. Instructions say 10-12mm from the surface. Shouldn’t be too many turns to get it there.

You could have removed them in half the time it took you to mask all that off. And why not just drop the spare tire instead of using a roll of tape to cover it up lol

The RAPTOR LINER kit us just how ever many liter ya buy, with hardener and a spray gun. Be mindful if you order, as some kits do NOT include the gun, if you need. So, keep an eye out there.
    20180928_114614.jpg

You need to supply the hose, and air of course (I already had it all for once). No filter needed (your shooting pretty thick stuff) at all. Raptor doesnt even suggest one. I just used my dinky air maker, set at 80 and made up a little regulator at the gun also, to fine tune it for the psi I wanted. Easy peasy mate...
The kit (I got the 4 liter one, as I have some other ideas ;) ) was around 105 bones shipped. Tape off, scuff a bit, mix, shake, and shoot the bugger. I did use some upol promoter. As, I've never shot plastic before, and was tripping a bit about it sticking proper. Tbh, I think it woulda stuck just fine with out it, but whatevs. Done and done. I did 4 coats, for fun, and used about 3/4s of one liter is all. I shit canned that, and blew some warm water through the gun, and I'm hopin it's cool, so I can shoot more gear tomorrow
I'm pretty pumped to pull the tape tomorrow, and really pumped to do the roof rails. I REALLY like the blacked out roof rails I've seen pics of on here. Its gotta happen, and its gonna happen :) . I'm real geeked how it turned out. Wicked happy.

Thx KYBlack76 for sharing the info with us and I’m excited to see final results and good luck! … Yeah, I’ve been watching YouTube vids on people painting there whole cars with the tint able Raptor Liner and man I’m impressed … I own a 2002 Red Dodge Dakota with about 105,000 miles and the paint on hood & roof is pealing BADLY … got a few respray quotes and shops want to much $$$$ … so I’m about to pull the plug on purchasing a kit to repaint it …

No worries chief.Thats why we are all here eh ? I have not used the tinted color stuff. But, we have a big suburban, with a ton of audio in it, and we wanna spray the entire thing, with a blue colored liner kit. I come from the competitve car audio world. Last year, in california, at the 2017 world finals (which we won by the way :) ) ill bet more than 50 percent of the HARD CORE, extreme rigs i saw there, where COMPLETELY covered in liner. The entire car. All of it. Also, when in Moab for easter jeep safari, i noticed many many did the liner on the entire rig thing. They all do it, because, well, its easy, cheap and most of all,... it fucking works. It adds strength, last forever, can take a beating, and well, it also looks tits. It can actually reduce road noise, as adding some weight to flimsy panels, can kinda "deaden" the panel, reducing unwanted vibrations/noise, and, help keep out road noise. Im heading out now, to pull tape, and shoot the rails. Its a bit windy, today, that kinda sucks, but, it aint stopping me. I want the rails shot and back on today. Then ill go wash it all, sit back with a beer, and a smile.

Bro, i just gotta say,... my god you got that rig looking tight as hell. You have that thing, looking rad as can be. I really, really like it dude. The silver valances, turned black, would IMHO, look killer also. I gotta say, your black roof rails, and such, look beyond dope on that thing. Its a small change ,but OHHhhhhh sooo much better dude, i think. Effing awesome man. Flat sick looking rig, monster thumbs up from me. Well done,... sincerly.

You are a fellow Utah peep right??? what canyon did you roll up? We did Bear lake (Logan canyon) a week or so ago, and then scooted up Monte Cristo just a few days ago, and even tossed in some desert love out west, a bit short of the Nevada line. (im putting miles and miles on this thing, and love every minute of it).
Man, the leaves are a changing stupid fast huh?!?. Super pretty every where we went, pure eye candy. Saw a moose in Logan canyon, not a damn thing up Monte, but still dope as shit. We are beyond lucky, and feel most here, dont get it. Utah, has ALL the goods when it comes to eye sex for sure. I feel most here, are blind as hell to it sadly.
Temps have done the weird Utah shit. Was 95 plus for ever, and now, getting cold. In the low 60s for the last few days in the mornings. On the way to work the last few, i had to run the damn heater at 5am, then BOOM, hit like 90 pluse, today when i was spraying crap for the runner. Damn Utah weather. Dont know if its coming or going.
But, i venture to say, there isnt many other areas, with the diversity and pure awesome, that we are soooo fortunate to live in man. We are hella lucky, and i feel privileged as shit, and lucky as hell, to even get to be a part of it all. Keep on keepin on mate.

Those front "tow points" are not tow points by any means. If you're stuck, do not try and pull yourself out using them. They are not designed for that kind of use and can lead to failure of the radiator support or you'll just rip the loops off. They're really only designed as tie down points when the truck is in transport on a trailer, flatbed, whatever the case may be.

Yep, I got all the controversial points on what those are "used for". But, since this isn't a jeep and in the event I do get into something I can't get out of I'd rather take my chances this those than ripping off my plastic bumper. I got it though, not ideal... but neither is getting stuck.
