Hi - New and first 4Runner owner with a couple questions...First the annoying way all doors lock putting the vehicle into Drive, I want to stop this. Manual gives not very informative instructions to set/cancel this feature but they do not work. Reading other posts on Google apparently the dealer needs to do this, are you kidding me? I have to go back to have them cancel the automatic door locking? Also, my remote buttons won't program to my automatic garage door opener. It has the rolling security code and I'm following those instructions and nothing. So back to the doors can that be canceled and will the dealer want money to do this? Thanks in advance.

For what it's worth and if anybody cares the locking doors did need to be stopped by the dealer via a laptop. No charge where I bought it and took literally all of 4 minutes.

See the link in slvrslug’s post. The Carista obdII reader ($20 on Amazon) and app on your phone (free and free 1st month of subscription) can enable/disable this and other things. No need to go to a dealer, especially if they charge for labor.

This was one of the first things I bought. I turned off the seat belt chimes and can open all windows via key fob as well.
