Hey everyone! So I loaned my truck out to a friend this last month and it came back with a smoked clutch. I know I have to replace it and resurface or replace the flywheel. I figure it's a good time to do a slight upgrade. Just seeing if anyone here has feedback on major brands that offer aftermarket stage 1 or equivalent clutches. The purpose of the upgrade is that I'm a prospector and bought this particular truck to explore outcroppings and mineral veins on mountainsides and hills. I live in Los Angeles and typically explore mountain ranges around here as well as Northern California and Nevada. I do use the truck around LA so my friends recommended a stage 1 or a marlincralwer 1200lb clutch so I wouldn't kill my left leg in LA traffic. 4wheel parts near me suggested a centerforce and a mechanic friend told me about Lux (sp?). My truck is not set up for crawling... no major off-road upgrades (I'll be working on that at the beginning of next year), so I'm not looking for anything too aggressive at this point. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!
