Has anyone found a substitute for the rear hatch supports on a 2013 Limited with premium sound system. Apparently speaker system in hatch door makes it heavier than w/o premium sound. Dealers get anywhere from $134 to $193 A PIECE and they don't last 5 years.

Could you use the same upgrade that is offered with some ladder kits?

Thanks. Had looked there but wasn't sure of fit and they listed w/o premium. Plus, they don't have a 4runner listed under Toyota.... so i bit the bullet and got an OEM set from TRDShop.com $133 a piece. Ouch! It's wife's and rather not hear about it later LOL. Plus, they don't have a 4runner listed under Toyota.

I just purchased a 2016 4Runner Limited. How do I determine if I have the Premium sound system? I do have speakers in the hatch. Thanks.

ondajob - I used the VIN number to verify. Not sure if speakers in the hatch is the difference. Mine has a "party mode" switch on the dash. Use the VIN to be sure. Good luck.
