Climate control knob, orange piece.

seeing if anyone has the orange indicator piece for the climate control knob?

Take that knob up to your local Toyota Stealership. Go sit in a 4Runner. While you're sitting in it, swap the knobs. Easy Peasy.

No one sells just the indicator piece. Even AJT (Who sells the knobs), doesn't sell the indicator piece. You can try searching junk yards, but it's probably going to be a waste of time.

 

This is the second thread in the last few months seeking an indicator. I wonder how easy it is to break one. (But I'm not going to experiment with it).

 

Probably a lot easier to lose one than to break it, but anything's possible.

I bought a cheap HVAC on ebay last year to get just one piece. Sold the other 2 pieces for like 5$

 

Well, the evidence shows that I could break it if I tried, and also that it would be hard to replace.

 

You are not screwing the dealer doing this, you are screwing the new owner who is unlikely to notice this on delivery.

 

The car came with it missing so maybe someone did a switch lol.
