Just got my wife a 2015 4Runner, our first vehicle with tpms and I'm wondering if you can run (or disable) with no sensors without a bunch of lights or bells going off in the dash. It came with some nice Nokian Hakkapeliitta studded winter tires - unmounted. I'd like to find some c/l wheels to mount & balance them on to avoid the tire shop for mounting & dismounting every fall & spring.

You can't turn it off, if you mount the snows on the new wheels and place those on the vehicle the TPMS light would stay on. You can get 4 new sensors for the snows and play the program/reprogram game twice a year but I don't really think that it is worth it. Seems like too much time and money to do it. Hope that this helps!

Hey if it's only a dash light, I have electrical tape and know how to cover up a "service engine" light on a 94 Explorer! I reckon I could handle taping over or even just ignoring a tpms light .
As long as there's no bell, dinger or buzzer to deal with. Thanks
