What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

If i could go back in time I would have put PPF on my front bumper and hood at the least when I first took delivery of my new 4runner. At least with my white paint seems like it chips like nothing ive ever had before.

 

That’s why I did my SO soon as I bought it with a track wrap. I have no chips in the front at all.

 

Ours is lifting. Ours is a 2018 and the edges are starting to lift. Also, a bird turd didn't get cleaned off for a few days a while back and it ate it so there is a round area that is gone/lifting. Ours is the factory installed Llumar.

Custom canvasback order arrived and placed in the cargo area along with the rest of my Patches.

Not today but recently added the OEM Pro Suspension along with Dobinson’s C59-323 Black rear coil springs.

That's a beauty. When I see no turn signal indicators on mirrors make me excited, "YAY, NO MOONROOF..!!" Please don't disappoint me saying it has moonroof.

Looks like some misunderstood what I said. I don't have much about turn signal indicators, but good to have. My point is I hate moonroof. I prefer a strong metal roof and extra head room. Better temperature control & no water leaks by not having a moon roof is very welcome too.
Yes, I had water leaks with my 4Runner moonroof and fixed under warranty.

Why don't you like the turn signal indicators on the mirrors?

 

As soon as it gets here, I will replace the Sun altimeter on the dash(Somehowit got knocked out of the mount and we lost it annoyed:)

 

I like turn signal indicators. I meant to say when there is no turn signal indicators that's a tell tell sign (most of the time) it has no moonroof and no KDSS.
When I bought my TRD ORP I wanted no moonroof + no KDSS + had heated seats. But I was not able to find that combo here in CO around in reasonable travel distance. Heated seats only came with ones with moonroof.

Love the moonroof. I live in Georgia and often drive with it open and all the windows down in the Spring and Summer months.

As for the mirror turn signals, I did not care for the factory chrome ones and the dim puddle lights so I replaced them with the smoked sequential turn signals and Meso Customs LED puddle pods. Both were huge improvements.

 

Spent too much $$$ on some new matt bronze Rocktrix rims. For the price, can't really knock them. Hopefully get here some time next week.

 

I replaced the directional, license, back-up, puddle and side marker lights with LEDs. Big improvement with these outside LEDs. I think the only halogens I have left in my 2022 are the DRLs – and they are horrible. Not sure of the direction I want to go with the DRLs LEDs. Probably pick-up some plug and play DRLs, see if there are any flickering problems and go from there.

I had higher pressure than that, the truck is my wife’s daily to work, she would have buried me where no one would find me if I f’ed things up

 

110K oil change. Here in the rust belt, using anti-seize on every bolt has made maintenance so much smoother.

 

Installed the Greenlane Offroad sliders with full deck. These guys make great stuff and their service team is very responsive. I had to work out shipping time due to my travel and they were very accommodating.
Light but strong aluminum with beautiful welds.

I do have a set of my old N-Fab step bars available in south central CT. They are in great shape.

 

I know, I know but I had a road trip planned! 2,100km in northern Ontario and Quebec. Used gas line pipe and screwed the flange into the plywood so I could simply unscrew the legs and store the platform in the backseat on top of the Trunk platform when not in use/ driving.

Just swapped out the stock wheels. Need better tires but it’s a work in progress
