Not new to Toyota as I've owned 4 tacos in the past but this is my first run with the 4runner. Really enjoyed the TRD Pro taco but the kids were cramped in the cab and need a little more breathing room. So scored this 2018 Off Road Premium with KDSS and I'm really enjoying this truck.

I've been driving and modding low cars almost my entire driving life and I've always been drawn back to the dirt. Maybe I'm just getting too old for low cars. My wife has an F80 M3 I can get my fill of low fast cars in hers. But for now I enjoy the high life.

So far, I swapped my wheels I had on the Taco over to the 4runner a week after owning it. Rotiform SIX-OR 17x9 wrapped with Toyo Open Country RT 285/70/17

Tackled the poor interior lighting with LED bulb change out. So much better than stock. Kit I ordered came from Amazon and it came w/ reverse and license plate bulbs.

Plasti-dip the front and rear chrome bits

Added HID retrofit from the retrofitsource.com; morimoto bulbs and that really helps with night time visibility.

Just got the LASFIT amber turn signal LED bulb for the rear, they have a built in resister so no need to run a separate resistor. These bulbs flash really bright, the drivers behind me will be seeing spots for a while when these things blink.

Next up I plan to do a Bilstein 6612/5160 lift; going for a slightly higher height than a TRD Pro. I dont plan on doing crazy high speed desert runs or heavy rock crawling to necessitate spending thousands on suspension stuff.

I actually like a little rake, but that's just my .02.

I don't mind it but the stock rake is a bit much
