hey jamart5, what are you thinking about the commander?

 

Installed new HID lows and LED fogs.. Wednesday I'm getting all the badges blacked out and the front and rear gray bumper covers linex'd. Will post those pics when I get it back.

 

What color are you going with for the bumper covers?

They can get pretty specific, so I'm going to go with a satin black. I don't want a shiny gloss, but I don't want flat either. I also want black to tie in with the grill and eventually the wheels..

Pedal commander is neat, I had a Ford Raptor before my 4Runner so it helped it feel move alive but honestly I find myself driving it on eco 9x/out of 10. Unless I see my buddies then I switch it to sport plus

Installed an X2 Power 27F battery, and ran my Indel B fridge for 2 1/2 days camping with no issues. I did cheat a little, by using this little beauty.

Put on the laminx film on the fogs, 10 minutes and I’m happy with it.

 

If you are going to off road it then I would keep the stock wheels...if not, get what you want.

My guess is that his meaning was if you are going to go off road and scratch them up, why buy new wheels to do that. Just scratch up the ones it came with. I would love to do some trails with mine, tons of them around me in WA state, but I do like a good looking wheel too as it's my DD. So, same dilemma..nice wheels for around town that'll get dinged on the trail or 2 sets of wheels and tires

 

Because the stock TE wheels are 7.5" wide and feature valve stem protection. They are actually a very good choice to put off road rubber on and a good choice to use in an off road setting.

And yeah, probably better to scrape up stock wheels than aftermarket ones.

 

ok great so what yall area saying is get some eye cany for DD and use the stocks for off road, gotcha new wheels with older rubber and new rubber on old wheels
