Transfer case issue

2002 4Runner sr5 4x4

I have a 2002 4Runner sr5 that was converted to 4x4 and the transfer case went bad.. the transfer case that’s on there is not the original one of course and i have taken it off and brought to a few places but no one can tell me what year it’s from or if it’s even from a 4 runner.. some places even said it’s possibly off a Tacoma .. i need some help ASAP thanks
