Center vents not blowing air

I am having an issue where the two center vents in the front and the center vents in the back seat are not blowing. When the blower is on high it sounds like when you blow up a balloon and then pull the mouthpiece mostly closed and let the air out. You know the squeaking sound you will hear. So I am sure it is some damper closing thus pinching off the air as it is trying to blow by. I have already replaced the mode selector servo after hearing the vibrating sound at the start of the engine. I went to Toyota today and they are telling me it is the AC/Radiator assembly and the price is $2600. I was like you are kidding me. For a simple damper door that won’t stay open. Has anyone had this issue or have some recommendations on how to fix it without Toyota’s recommendation? I live in Mississippi so the summers are HOT and need full AC most of the time during the day.
191,000 miles and going strong, just need to get this one thing worked out.

I got my dead AC up to freezing by replacing the compressor and the evaporator at a top shop. With parts from Amazon ($200) and labor $800 it was worth it. Never touched AC/Radiator in 189,000 miles on my 2005. Think you got a bum steer from Toyota.

go to a top independent AC shop for fix.

 

Does the noise change when you put the vent selector in any different positions? Or is it always the same?
