Today I was able to finally put the 4Runner in 4wheel drive and tested the crawl control. It kept making a clicking ratcheting sound. Not sure if it was the snow causing the tires to slip and counter act the crawl control.

Took me a bit to understand how the whole system works and different combos of using 4wheel, locker, LSD, A-track! Like I was operating a jet airliner or something.

Why do you think it was making that sound? The manual says it will / could make a noise and not to worry? Sounded like it broke or was breaking!!

That's just what Crawl does. Dealer told me it was nothing to worry about.

Yea I looked in the manual, and if using it in snow, it may not work as well as all the sounds!

Totally normal sound. That’s what it sounds like as everything works together to maximize traction.

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
Most of the racket you hear is the brake actuators working. Yes, it’s supposed to sound like the vehicle is going to come apart, lol. It’s normal.
