What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

So is your liner stuck to the washer tank or no? Lots of people use heat methods to bend and mold fender liners for clearance and aesthetics.
I did not, I bucked the liner off level with top of the high stage, high clearance cut. Then painted fluid container. That's one option yours. The exposed tanks girly and pink if you don't paint it.
There's even washer tank "skids" which I'm saving for.

I had to go back and find these pics from.Feb 17-19, 2021. It felt like Canada (no offense meant) outside for nearly a week. But it was single digits for a couple of days. At the time I was driving a lifted Tacoma.

For places that aren't used to getting anywhere near that kind of snow, it will bring life to a standstill. Here in SE VA and coastal NC, govt / businesses / people lose their minds when there's a dusting and the roads and yards are completely covered, let alone accumulate several inches...

 

Installed a Pedal Commander, took it out for a short test drive, have it currently set at Sport +2. Increase in throttle response is definitely noticeable, so we'll see how it does when merging onto the freeway, and passing someone (hardly a 4R's strong suit). Also installed the Cali Raised interior LED light bulb kit (map x 2, vanity x 2, dome, rear cargo x 2, license plate x 2, doors x 4, puddle x 2, glove box), heck of a lot brighter, with crisper white light. Only ones left to do are the puddle lights, but I'm saving those for tomorrow. I'm not going to install the glove box bulb, I've read it's VERY difficult to do.

 

installed my sherpa crestone sport rack today. I have been wanting this style roof rack twice as long as I have owned my 4runner. hands down a very well thought out roof rack. I was thinking the sport version might be a cheaper version of it's big brother but there isn't anything cheap or cheezy about the sport version build or material wise...being a super low full length roof rack now I can finally truck my 1970's 17' grumman aluminum canoe or a couple of bundles of 1/2"-3/4" EMT around and not worry!

Here in southern New England, we used to get dumped on every other week. We haven't had that much snow in the last several years though. We get a storm, then the temp spikes and it's all melted within the next day or two. It was actually 60 and sunny today. Strange even for New England weather.

 

Weekend snow is fine. Its the weekday stuff when having to deal with the other knuckleheads on the roads drives me (no pun intended) crazy.

 

Today i swapped the front diff needle bearing for the ECGS busĥing, will see tomorrow if it get rid of my vibration in 50-60 kmh and floorboard vibration too , the axle shaft was insanely loose

 

Tank skid plates are nice but relocate really cleans up the area! Snowbound custom one actually fits with majority of high clearance bumpers unlike the rago.

 

I chose this tank for the very same reason, but also to eliminate the OEM tank’s fill tube so that I can relocate my compressor into that front pocket.

Besides, I doubt those washer pump ‘skid plates’ will hold up when the front end comes down on it.

 

Installed the LED bulbs for the puddle lights (many thanks to the videos on Youtube for the how-to), and rerouted the wires for the Pedal Commander. They were a bit too close to what I think are the hard lines for the heater (those two lines got HOT). Going to leave the PC settings at Sport +2 for now.

 

That's a great fix. ECGS is def the go to place.......let us know how it turns out.

My Life [sic] is the only one who very rarely sits in the passenger seat and she commented on losing leg room but finds the top knob on the mount a place for her purse so that it's not on the floor a plus. Again, while the only person she rarely sits there. The longest trip was ~1k miles without the mount and only the base in place. Other few trips are ~10 mile radius from home doing errands during which I leave the mount in place. Final answer, both the pedestal and base dig into the passenger's left leg room and depending where that person perfers their feet in the footwell.

The mount shaft and base are solid, no movement what so ever. The mount that holds your device is spring load, if empty it rattle even on asphalt sometimes. However, when loaded with an table/laptop it does not rattle, even offroad.

Lastly, while my experience, I would not buy directly from RAM. Their customer service sucks! Example, when I purchased the kit, I purchase the wrong device holder and RAM would not exchange the wrong holder for the correct holder because, their claim, kits cannot be mixed or sustituded. Yet, the same mixes or substitutes, from RAM, can be purchased elsewhere. That said, the product is well made, durable, and I would purchase again, just not from RAM. Hope that helps. And pardon the delay.

Brings back memories. When they were young, on every trip with the kids, we'd take the "potty chair". Worked great in the back of the Sienna. Saved us plenty of times (sitting in traffic- "I have to go to the bathroom!").
