Found a Pro shift knob on Craigslist for $35. All because of a tiny scratch.

I'm on stock suspension. Haven't had it off-road yet since I got these wheels and tires.

When I was turned half lock, backing out of my driveway (slight hill, over a curb) I had very minor rubbing where the bottom of the front bumper cover meets the fender liner. From the factory, the bumper cover extends a bit passed the fender liner, creating a bit of a overhang.

I cut off the edge of the bumper cover with a utility knife, making the bumper cover even with the fender liner. This was super easy and solved the problem. In the photo, I'm pointing to the area that I'm talking about.

Thanks @thirdyota! Makes complete sense and im pretty sold on the setup! i have checked every countersteer photo and post i could find but everyone is running KO2s or Ridge Grapplers in larger widths. Your truck's looking awesome and thanks again for taking the time to reply and the pic!

Forgot to ask, are those Countersteers in the gunmetal color? they look blue-ish in your first post.

Had my TRD ORP for about a month started off with these few small mods while deciding my wheel and tire combo:

Trail Standard Offroad Grille (I have the letters and will probably black them out and add later)
Matte black vinyl on front valance
    TRD PRO black rear valance
Matte black vinyl on factory aluminum runner board (to hold me over until sliders/nerf bars)
Matte black vinyl on roof rack (to hold me over until new roof rack)
HIDS: DDM Plus CanBus HID Kit, 35W, H11, 6500K
    FOG LED Bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BYZNMZH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pretty set on Konig Countersteer Type X wheels in gunmetal with 265 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Mine are the Dark Metallic Blue. Here is another pic on the 4Runner...

and one from they day I got them...

The way the light hits them at any given time has a big effect on how they look.

When the sun hits everything just right, the blue wheels really bring out the blue metallic flake that is in the Midnight Black Metallic paint on the 4Runner.

Installed a decal onto my dash today. Was inspired by the Tacoma where before I only had to get red inlays.

Just a thought... I’ve read on those molle racks in the back window that you should avoid mount large heavy objects. In even a low speed collision that could become an object hurled at the back of your head!

I love the red TRD logo however!!

I would agree. Years ago, every summer we would go on full day wheeling/off roading, and HIKING into Canyonlands.Truly and amazing place. I’m looking to go back this year.

Never been to capitol reef. I made a ew year resolution this would be the year of Utah exploration! I’m looking to get down to some ghost towns in central Utah.

How much did this cost and where did you get it done? Did you take them apart and just take the bars to get powder coated? I want mine done and didn’t want to use paint

Do you have the sliding deck in the back? If so what floor mat are you using back there?

No sliding deck and it’s just an OEM version of Toyota’s off road floor mats that the dealership threw in during purchase … I hate the front & rear mats and in time will purchase Husky’s as a replacement.

It cost me $70 at Midwest powder coating. Yes I took them apart, it’s not very difficult. The hardest part is getting the plastic covers off.

First post here. Just leveled the wife’s 4Runner and added wheels and roof rack. We’re getting ready to move across the country so I’m waiting until after the 2800 mile drive to add larger tires.

I love trails, and off roading, but, im more into the exploring aspect.... the trails, and doing some good off roading, to and from, to me, are just a bonus.

Backslider nailed it. Utah, is truly special. Mountains, desert, lakes/reservoirs, insane eye candy, that will leave you breathless (canyon lands, moab, arches, on and on) are ALL close, and at your dispense. I highly suggest heading west, and go find some old mining towns to sniff around, there are mines, old buildings, that are fun to explore. It goes on and on. Staying east, there is TOPAZ, (where, im sad to say, we locked up the Japanese during the war), where there are tons and tons of exploring to do. You can truly get lost. Its rad. We go out, and spend all day, looking for arrow heads, trilobites (little critters, froze in time, in shale rock, when this used to be all under water millions of years ago) and geode rocks. American fork canyon has some gnarly trails, Or, up to the B on the mountain by Bountiful, is a switch back type of cliff ride, up some beautiful country. Dinosaur parks, and stuff galore, east, around Vernal. My area,(davis county) , Out east of Willard bay, there is Promontory, and roads to get lost on for ever,,.. up Ogden/Weber canyon, there is Eden, go up Avon. Roll by Pine view res, and up Monte Cristo, visit Cuasey res, keep going, roll by hardware ranch, and drop into Evanston Wyoming for horse races at the Downs. All of which, have a million dirt roads to check out. Morgan,.. has East Canyon Res, Echo Res, and Lost Creek Res, Rockport Res (i just got back from tooling around there, didnt want to come back). Again, all have dirt roads to tool around on... man, i can go on and on lol.

Hell, the Unitas ,.. talking about 1/10th of the Unitas, would take a week,......

And of course, Moab. Which, if you or yours have never been, or seen, will blow your damn mind. Arches, the cliffs, Zions, are god damn insane. You honestly feel, like your on another damn planet, with the formations and such. Mind blowing. It looks like god, put his finger down on earth itself, right there......

Me and the old lady, buy a interagency annual pass, for the summer (gets us into any and all payed areas, state/nation wide) fuel up, grab a few GIG of music, load up a cooler with drinks and water for us and the dogs, grab a subway sandwich, or what have you, then, she flips a coin to pick our direction. No planning, (we just prepare correctly) , or anything. We just get in and effin GO. Smiling the entire time..... Adventure, at its best...
Get out, and just go. You wont be bummed at all..no matter where you end up,.... you will, however, just wanna go. At work, you will be googling more areas to sniff around, laying in bed, doing the same,... ill guarantee it :) Be safe, enjoy, and bring us some pics of the fun.

I have a cross bar mounted rack delivering tomorrow, I’m thinking about doing this too. What did you use to black out the factory rails? I’ve seen a lot of options in this thread and am leaning toward the bed liner stuff as that seems the most durable and permanent compared to plasti dip.

    2018 TRD OR

Yea all these places are so fun. I've been to most of them a while back, nothing real recent. Christmas Meadows in the Unitas's is so fun. I'll have to choose some places from your list. Used to go to Topaz mountain all the time, now its all private and locked up. San Rafel Swell is INSANE! I need to make a trip back. I think I'll go there next lol! I'd like to take a look at some of the closer places I could do in a half day or something. Thanks a lot!
