The other day my truck overheated and I immediately turned it off and pulled over. I found the dreaded pink milkshake in my trans dip stick and in my radiator. My plan is to install a new radiator and flush the transmission system with 20 quarts of ATF. My question is, how likely would you folks think it is that my transmission fails shortly after? I am weighing my options as this truck is my DD, and I relied on it very much and would like to keep driving it. Is it the better route to get out of it and sell it as a part car? Or could I potentially get another 30k out of it? Thank you guys and the forum admins, this place has helped me along the road of owning my first T4R. Thank you. This is my first post.

You could be OK, you're going to want to remove the trans pan and clean it out, this will save time and fluid, once you've cleaned the pan, the filter would also be a good idea, disconnect the cooler hoses and point them into a pan, fill the trans with 6 quarts of fluid, than start the car, fluid will come out of one of the hoses, when it stops coming out turn the car off, repeat until you have clean fluid. Once the fluid is clean, re connect the cooler hoses and top off trans to correct level.
