What is the name of the part I am looking to replace and suggestions to find it?

I just found a 2007 4Runner with 91K on it from the original owner. It is in great shape except for the interior which was more or less a doggy day care for the owner and her sister and neighbor. I had it detailed and it cleaned up fairly well with the exception of the rear cargo area.

There is a piece that slides forward over the rear seats when you put them down. Seems like it would be called the rear cargo deck but I can't seem to find the exact name so I can start looking for a replacement.

Anyone know exactly what it is called and any suggestions where to buy a replacement?

 

I don't know what it would be called either and most people avoid the dealer. But if you live near one, you could go there to the parts counter and ask about it and when they tell you the price, just gasp and say no thanks. Then you know what it is called.

 

Go to google and type in your year, model and search rear seat parts, usually a Toyota diagram will come up with a list of parts and part numbers.

 

Go to camelbacktoyotaparts.com and enter your year, model, and trim level for your T4R. then you can search for the part you're looking for on their website using their schematics and you can also get the part numbers for it. Once you have those, you can shop around for the best price, but they're pretty competitive from my experience. I bought all weather flooring for both of my tacomas through them

 

Are you talking about a "cargo cover"?

For that body style, there is a tonneau cover that pulls out and covers up the rear cargo area. Unfortunately, it is an OEM part, and is pretty expensive, especially when you compare it to the Toyota accessory cargo covers that are available for most models now.

If you're looking for a grey tonneau (like the one in the link above) I have one I'd sell. It's in new condition. I took if off my '05 and put it on a shelf in my garage the day I took delivery. PM me if interested.
