Thank you for posting this! Incredible read! That absolutely scares the living shit out of me you saw a rattlesnake now?! I mean it has been rather warm for December here but still holy crap! I'm going to have be a little more careful when I go out. Aravaipa Canyon is definitely on my list of camping spots for next fall.

My parents and I had a great outing today with their new Rubicon. Finally had an obstacle ATRAC just couldn't handle like a true locker with slippery rocks and mud. Thank God for winches! New skids got put to the test and they passed! Very happy with Rival. Great time as usual!

Thank you! It's a trail in Payson AZ called Pyeatt Draw. Very technical trail but incredibly beautiful!

You as well thank you! If you can avoid it don't go alone! On the plus side if the draw itself becomes too much there is a forest road that runs parallel with a few turn off exits but you will have to traverse some fairly large rock gardens and tight obstacles once in the draw. You will enjoy it!

 

I also found it on Trails Offroad, where everyone commented that it was lots of fun. Many also commented on the difficulty of the optional obstacles, especially the one called "The Filter" at the end. Otherwise, the mandatory sections are rated as moderate on Trails Offroad. Your pictures look great, and even an appealing drive. Thus, added to my GAIA list if in the neighborhood. Again, thanks for sharing; otherwise, I would have missed a possible opportunity.
