Hey guys, new to this site and fairly new to 4runners.. last year me and my wife purchased a 2016 sr5 4runner.. I would like to get a lift for it and was looking at the Econ but to be honest we aren’t very hardcore off-roaders.. however we do go to a lot of remote beaches and drive around some marsh areas here at the Texas coast.. that’s about all the off-roading we will do since we normally go to areas like that to launch our kayaks. So how does the ome suspension hold up. I want something reliable and a good ride. Also if we get more adventurous we’ll it be able to hang trail riding if we need it to.. I’m not finding a lot of info on this setup but I do like the price.. if any of you guys experienced or no of this setup feel free to chime in.. thank you..

I’m running OME on my 3rd Toyota and second 4Runner. I installed it previously on my 2010 Trail Edition and ran it for close to 80k miles before I traded it in. Ran solid like a champ and saw many miles off highway. I’m currently running OME on my 2017 and couldn’t be happier. It is a bit of a stiffer suspension then say Icon or King though.

@Daria just installed OME on her 2018 TRD ORP

I also have drawers, a fridge, a roof rack and roof top tent so the medium coils work out well in the rear and sooner or later I’m going dual battery so it’s lessen the harshness of the ride

Would upper control arms work for this set up? Is good to have them? Leaning to light on the shocks in the front and mediums on the back since. I do tow a trailer from time to time but have desire on a wench.

Yes, UCA’s are recommended. I haven’t gone aftermarket UCA’s and so far no issues. Only caster was slightly out of spec with alignment.
