Black climate control and volume knobs

Has any one found/created black knobs and trim pieces for the climate control and volume knobs?
I understand AJT makes them but looking for true OEM look.

also the trim pieces behind the climate control in black? Any leads?

 

If you want OEM, why not try this: Pop off the OEM knobs, scuff them up with a brillo pad, then spray paint them with a matte black. It'll be OEM and cheap!

 

Without going into the futility of this whole exercise, remove them and paint them black. Or find someone that can 3d print them in black at considerable cost.
And those silver markers, though not meant to be removed, I am sure can be pryed out, again at the risk of breaking or deforming them.Unless you can find some one who can make a stick on cover for it with markings.

It’s the indicators I’d like the have black to match any ideas ?

I don’t mind removing the climate control unit to get them out of it enables me too swap them for black

 

I've thought the same thing. I find it looks funny when the knobs are black and the surrounding trim is still silver.

 

This is why I haven't replaced the knobs on my 4Runner. The area BEHIND the knob will still be silver. If they make a way to black that part out, then I'll do that "mod".

 

I swapped mine for the AJT but the OEMs are much nicer with the rubber outer ring. No way you are recreating that aftermarket without a lot of money (I had no idea how complex they looked until I removed them).

Painting seems like a way better idea and not sure why that never crossed my mind.

The ring behind it could be painted too with a lot of time and patience. If you paint the ring black, you will need to repaint the markers in a lighter color back in their original positions
