Used her to move the new popup around so I could treat the top before it gets stored in for the winter. We will see how she likes the mountains pulling the popup with 33's, bumper and winch next summer. Thinking of getting a tune to help her out a little bit.

Been a long while since I was towing at your altitude but I'd expect you wouldn't notice a pop-up even fully loaded with your 33s. Might save the tune money for other mods (unless you're just looking to justify the tune, surely your lady doesn't spend time hanging out with us on this forum!)

As an aside, Springs is beautiful and jealous of your location. Lots of great places to see and explore. Enjoy!

I had a 2004 sport that came with one. My 2015 SR5 didn't - I asked the sales person about it and she disappeared and came back with one and handed it to me.
My 2017 ORP came with one. So it may be the trim that dictates whether you get one or not.

Out the door was around $9k and was done through my local dealer. I also purchased the supercharger through them. They're listed on Magnuson's site as an authorized/verified installer. They had done multiple Magnuson installs on both 4Runners and Tundras which was another factor in me having them do it.

Sorry for delayed response @spyder918. These are the ones I bought:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5L7KQ7D?ie=UTF8&th=1

As far as rattles, I've had none. I've taken them off once or twice (at least once getting windows tinted). Outside of that, absolutely no issues. Like I said, they're very similar to Rago Fabrication ones. But just different enough so as not to violate copyright laws.

Now if you want one with the bridge:

    https://www.amazon.com/Modular-Accessories-Interior-Compatible-2010-2022/dp/B0C1BNH315.

    Hope that helps!

I will definitely try it out a few times to see how she does. I anticipate a few trip to Buena Vista and at least 1 trip down to Ouray. Luckily we don't share bank accounts, so our agreement is, as long as you pay the bills, buy whatever you want lol.

She wants a new 7 seater SUV, which might be our tow vehicle as long as off-roading isn't involved for the trip. But still want to the 4Runner to perform nicely while towing. A gear change is definitely in the future.

@ljerr2 I looked at their website, and they have deals going on now. Ordered the shelf.

I also added an additional 7% discount from this code: PL7P.

So it was $177 for the shelf. Total with the additional discount was $164.61. Not to shabby (AND free shipping).

I had a blown headlight so I swapped for Silverstar Ultras. They’re 55 watt and will work for now but I have Alpharex lights sitting. Note the OEM color of the fogs which is what the OEM headlights were.

    IMG_3443.jpg

I also had a USR reverse LED bulb burn out so I swapped for 5K VLEDs. Supposedly the USR bulb is rated for more lumens but the VLED looks brighter. VLED on the left and USR on the right.

Jumped on the light sensor bandwagon. Turned out exactly how I hoped. With the headlights on, the sensor adjusts the lighting of the stereo screen according to the ambient light. e.g. If it's daytime, raining and I have my headlights on, usually the stereo screen will switch to dark mode and is hard to see. With the sensor installed, the screen says in normal/ daytime mode.

Purchased sensor from ebay. Showed up in about a week: https://www.ebay.com/itm/125602714691

Those are two 2.5 gals each. Haven't tested them yet, will report back. I made a custom rack out of aluminum angles and mounted that on the crossbars.

I'd do 4 2.5 gals, they would sit at half the height, more stable and parking garage compatible. Also if you had a weird leak or something that would at least affect only one can.

Guess I'll be cleaning up after someone else...

Took the 4Runner in to get its 10,000 mile service done. I did the 5,000 mile oil change and figured I'd have the dealer do this one since it's free. I removed my front skid plate to make it easier for them. Went to put it back on tonight and noticed oil around the bottom and top edge of the filter canister. It's not leaking (at least I don't think it is), but just poor attention to detail by not cleaning up their work... although I can't quite figure out how they got oil on the bottom of the canister unless they set it in a puddle of oil.
