XREAS can be a little tricky but you can do it. In my previous job at an off road shop we lifted many 4Runners that had XREAS with the daystar brand lift/level kit. All were successful and customers were happy with results.

Another option is to just ditch the XREAS system and do what ever lift you want. This will cost more of course.

@Dark Knight do recommend doing the whole leveling kit front and back? Or can i get away with just doing the front?

Hey Alex, I’m in the same situation as you. I’m just looking for easy and reliable leveling kits for my limited until I have money to get a full lift. I can’t make up my mind between Daystars and Rough Country. Which kit did you end up choosing and are you happy with it?

Honestly, you can level out the Limited 4Runners, the XREAS system can be tricky yes, BUT we do offer a 3'' front 1.5'' full lift kit that will work with the XREAS system, or you can simply just level out the front with the 2'' spacer if that is something you'd rather do..

We do offer both options here:

    XREAS FULL KIT

    FRONT SPACERS

Let me know if you guys have any questions at all, I'll be more than happy to help.

Thanks David, looks like the front spacers only might be what I'm looking for. Does the spacers just install right on top the shocks? Or do I have to compress the spring to install it?

    Thanks Todd

    Hey Todd,

So our spacers will be installed on top of the coil spring, under the top mount. So you will have to compress the coil to install. We designed our spacers this way for a reason its a lot safer and will keep the longevity of your suspension.

The top mount spacers will force the whole assembly down, manipulating the shock to be at full droop when driving, when that happens you will have more of a chance of the shock stem being forced into the shock body..

Here is a photo for reference...

Now please note, that you may overcome this happening by extending your bump stop down....
