SAS with 79 cherokee axles?

    I have 1995 4runner i picked up for 200 and want to use off road only and want to do a sas but i have 79 jeep cherokee thats a parts jeep and was wondering if i could do a sas with it or if anybody has used 79 cherokee axles before, i know anything be done with a welder and cutting torch, the front axle are passenger side pumpkin.

    I would say yes. A major factor would be the budget. Home fab is only the time it will take. It's kind of a step by step project. A short list to consider is, Jeep leaf springs or 3, 4, link suspension, do the driveshafts on the transfer cases turn in the same rotation, steering linkage, brakes, blah blah blah. YouTube similar projects to get an idea of what is involved.

    It will be leafs and I will continue to look on YouTube, time I have, like every body else on a budget but I can fab, and this will not be on road use so some redneck enginutity is ok, plans are lockers, at least 35s, I am currently rebuilding the motor, and maybe 4 inch, want to keep it low for low center of gravity, cut out fenders, rock sliders which I building, tube bumpers with winch, roof rack, and wheel the crap out of it.
