Debate between husband and I haha!!

What are the black lines on the back side windows for? I thought I heard that they were part of the rear defrost system(not even sure where it came from ha ha) and my husband says they are radio antennas. Either way it's just a fun little debate for us so nothing serious haha!! Thanks in advance guys

 

I was under the impression that they are both, an integrated antenna/heater system. Since your rear defroster is electrical as opposed to air(like the front defroster) the electrical fibers are charged with electricity creating heat, which is why the area closest to those lines defrosts first when you turn the heater on.

 

Shoot!! he gets bragging rights and I'll NEVER hear the end of it
