1st 4R 2023 LR OR

Went to go check out a few 4R today and ended up walking out with one. Went in wanting a MG ORP but this was sitting out front and couldn't resist.

Already ordered Eibach Stage 1 lift and 285 BFG K02.

Looking for advice on UCA leaning towards Dobinsons for low maintenance from what I've read.

Also looking for best place for heritage grill with toyota spelled out / black valence from people who actually have them. Im always weary on reviews online, I found forums from other car enthusiasts work best.

My old man and brother in law came over today with their 4R after I picked up my lunar rock. Also my 99 civic si I built when I was 18 almost 16 years ago in the garage lol

 

Three of my favorite colors White, Silver, and Lunar Rock.

 

Too bad Mazda Soul Red Metallic hasn't made it to 4Runners. The color is on Japanese Prius and Yaris models.

 

So question for you guys. When I test drove this car it had the original ORP center caps in the front driver seat. I was under the assumption the car was built from the factory with the black TRD wheels. Does anyone know for sure? My sales guy had no idea and I just want to make sure the dealership did not take the stock wheels and only give me the TRD wheels, I thought it was weird the caps were gone after I picked it up.

The dealership I bought from has its own customization shop. One of the five 4Runners on the lot was modified, including the addition of TRD wheels. Those cars usually have a 2nd or 3rd sticker on it. My local dealership puts it on a third sticker. The dealership sticker includes the addition of KARR, paint protection, serial number etching into the paint, etc. The modification work is done by a separate business entity owned by the dealership, thus the third sticker.

The dealership can change features in order to charge more money. They just have to disclose it, it's a law. So, if you notice that there were additional stickers on top of the manufacturers sticker, the origin of parts sticker, any state regulated stickers, etc...

FIO - Factory installed option
PIO - Port installed option
DIO - A short, but powerful vocalist, A dealer installed option

 

So the TRD wheels were on what looks like the original sticker as a optional equiptment add on built into the price. Just seems weird they ORP center caps in the car when i test drove it and they were gone when i picked it up and nobody had an answer as to why. Just didnt know if the car was built like that or came with them, you know how shady sales guys can be.

Our Lunar Rock ORP also came with the TRD wheels as an option, 2 weeks into ownership and we're loving it

 

Wow i didnt know you could look that up thanks. It looks like they were a port installed option so maybe they left the center caps in the car since when i got to the dealership the car was still in transport mode with 1 mile on it.

 

Ive only seen 1 other so far in CT thats awesome, two days into ownership and im loving it too.

 

We also saw a Lunar Rock in Milford the other day, we're in New Haven County. The only LR 4Runner we've seen in the wild.

 

Im in the Hartford area and actually had another LR come and buy tires at my work the day before I got mine.
