Went to Copper Creek Trail in Prescott today.

 

San Juan Mountains, Colorado

 

Cathedral Valley, Utah

 

That is such an awesome shot.

 

The first picture was just a natural ramp along Onion Creek Trail and the second one is the top of "Top of the World" trail. Both are in the Moab, Utah area. Onion Creek is a pretty easy trail, but Totw can be pretty challenging of a trail to take it by yourself.

It used to be closed right there at the Y, because of the range. There are other roads in the area where you cross bomb ranges and there's a million signs telling you not to stop, to stay on the road all the way through. It looks open now, maybe in relation to the scheduled expansion of the ranges. Like the signs are down temporarily as they move them?

Got a haircut today, and when I came out, more 4Runners were parked outside. That's scenic!

 

My first off roading adventure. Took it up into the Idaho Sawtooth mountains. One shot of the mountain range from the highway, and one from inside.

 

I love the Sawtooths at this time of year. The wildflowers and alpine lakes are as good as they get anywhere.

 

Just outside of Livingston, MT - last summer. Awesome road trip!

 

Nice. I stayed in Livingston during my road trip back from picking up my 4Runner in North Dakota.

 

My first elk hunt was in that area!

 

As scenic as I have so far... Parked at a trailhead. Fairly large rutted area at the beginning of the trail. Felt nice to have a capable vehicle that I don't really have to worry about trail conditions and just rolled right through it. Then when I got back from my backpacking trip, there was a Prius parked next to me.

 

The Prius is a surprisingly good vehicle for gnarly trailhead access. A lot of my backpacking buddies take them where only 4x4s dare to tread.

 

Was this the Prius you saw on the trail?

True, but this particular one is just a photoshop. There are however some real lifted Prius'.

Do you think they have threads titled "Will 35's rub?" on the Prius forums?

 

For real, I saw a chopped and lifted Miata in eastern PA yesterday.
