just joined. looking forward to sharing and learning.
on my 2nd '88 4runner, 3.0 (1st one got totaled by a texter going 50 mph) that's another story for another post.
had a '96 4runner briefly, but threw a main bearing on drive home from buying it (oh joy!).
Toyota in my blood, got the bug from Dad in the '80's. Got 2010 Tundra as well. Wife drives a Corolla.
Brother-in-law finally sold me his '88 that had been driven once or twice a year for last 25 years. Been begging him since early '90's to sell me that ride. Now it's mine! only 120,000.
Been finding out that just b/c a 4runner has low miles, it ain't necessarily all that. new timing belt/water pump, plugs/wires, blah blah... and also found out the front axle "automatic" hubs are crap (can't be in 4x4 in reverse!!! duh not much good in Colorado); that was the first thing that had to be replaced, and just in time for last year's snow.

anyways happy to be here. Hope I can help out as much as I can, and looking forward to learning from what others have done already.

    cheerio!
