USMC type with zipper is best-turns into sleeping bag.
    2. CLOTHES DRIER LINT.
    Best tinder-fire starter ever.
Keep in old medicine bottle with some vaseline impregnation.
    3. PARAFFIN CANDLES.
    For light and warmth.
    4. WATER PURIFICATION TABLETS & canteen.

    you will last:
3 hrs without clothing and shelter
    3 days without water
    3 weeks without food
    3 months without love

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
    #1 by far….fire extinguisher

Times when you don't need the gear, you carry them. Times when you need the gear, you don't carry it. I now carry most essential gear (jumper cables, small socket set, and a base stand for the stock jack). Mounted on the molle panels, I have pouches of which I carry small amount of tools and a small fire extinguisher. However, I do load up when I go on trails.

If you forget your jumper cables, molle panels or a tool you can eventually find help. If your or someone else’s truck catches fire without a good extinguisher the party is over……

Hey I think I saw those on Amazon. Do they charge via USB C ?

I run with talkies a lot but it sucks because commercial grade need to sit in a charging station to charge (or at least a battery does) and that's just lame. They don't plug straight in.

Anyway... if yes...how's the range on those? I was thinking of scooping some up.

Now that I'm on call 24/7 I had to add some stuff to the 4runner. I have a plano case in the back that holds my:
    -heavy armour
    -ballistic helmet
    -duty belt
    -gas mask
    -extra uniform pants/shirt
-plate carrier with level 4 plates
    -extra pair of duty boots
    -pistol/rifle mags
I drive my 4runner to and from work and at work it's in a secure parking area. I pull the tote out when I get home so I'm not too concerned about anything getting stolen.

Excellent call on this as a P51 can opener can be had for less that $5 bucks and be a lifesaver.

Try it out at home at least once to get a feel for its operation.

I have them when I think I might need them, although we did break down a couple of months ago where there was NO cell or CB coverage (handhelds would not have helped).

Thanks, sorry I do not have any writeup on how I did it. I measured the area where I want the compressor and removed the panel over the wheel well to bolt it down. The compressor is hard wired to the second battery.

E-tool, jumper cables, a few water bottles, and netting for holding stuff down on the roof, just in case. I need to include a pen, I just keep forgetting to keep a pen in the car.

I've considered carrying it in my first aid bag, but it isn't supposed to be stored at high ambient temperatures, so I'd have to put it in the vehicle before each trip. Same thing with anaphylaxis injectors.

How do you like the crate? On paper, it looked perfect for what I had in mind. Only trouble was that I wasn't able to find one locally. Either Cabelas Canada or Murdochs.
