Suspension good for this terrain?

Most trails around my area tend to be hard packed dirt and sand with rocks (pointy ones at times) firmly impeded in this and sticking out. See attached photographs

This makes for a slow (1-5 mph) and bumpy ride on stock suspension.

I do have stock size Wildpeaks SL aired down and helps but wondering if I get an upgraded suspension what would work best for this terrain . I hear Fox and King and Elka ride soft are can be tuned to be soft but I imagine this is driving at more moderate speeds. So wondering if more of an over landing shock system like say OME or Ironman might be better suited for this or would those make ride more stiff and bumpy?

Everything will work just fine. Don't over think it.

I don't have experience with all 3 but between Ironman FCP vs ELKA 2.5DC I can say ELKA 2.5DC is a clear winner on this type of terrain. ELKA 2.5DC paired with non KDSS 4runner it is smooth sailing even at moderate speed.

If you are referring to OME Nitro Sport shocks it would be a rough ride. But I bet OME BP51 is a different animal but no personal experience.

If you want a smooth ride then the only thing is to know for certain how much weight you are adding to your vehicle with all mods and gear on board. Get springs per that weight.

Looks like you have the Off-Road, that suspension is more than adequate. I would be more wary of driving over those rocky areas on the SL’s but that’s just me.

I drove over that type of terrain pretty regularly on stock size SL Wildpeaks and Eibach shocks (set at .85” up front). Most of the time not aired down. I didn’t break any speed records, but I didn’t have any failures either. The Wildpeaks are tougher than you think.
Now I have load C 285s and Ironman FCP suspension and I can be a bit more aggressive and it is a much better ride.
