    Hey all,

Figured I would start a build thread to keep track of my build so far.

Just before my Junior year of college, I decided that I didn't like dodge trucks and rear-ended a newer Ram 1500 totaling my runner which was mildly built. I decided to keep my totaled runner and swap all the parts onto a new runner.

The old runner was a 2002 limited

    The New Rig

    Purchased on (9-8-17)

    I ended up buying a 1999 SR5 which a 5-speed and the e-locker.

It took about a week before I started tearing the new one down, and swapping parts off of my old 4runner. Since I am a full time student I had only had a weekend to completely swap parts.

Ran Top of the World Last weekend. Ended up doing the Kokopelli trail that runs from Fruita to Moab.

A little video of Rose Garden Hill. Based on my research before the trip, I thought Top of the World was going to be the worst part of the trip but turns out that Rose Garden Hill was much gnarlier than I had anticipated. Wasn't much of an issue for me with my short wheelbase but my buddy in his double cab Tacoma needed some healthy rock stacking to get down without body damage. Here's a crappy iphone video showing a short section of the hill. Definitely does not do justice

Spent the day working on some wiring for aftermarket accessories. I wanted something clean and simple so here's what I came up with. I am by no means an electrician and have always been intimated by wiring but I am rather pleased with how this turned out so far.

    Started with this
[IMG]IMG_0833 by Trevor Courkamp, on Flickr

Cut, shaped, and braced the ABS plastic to make a tray next to my battery
[IMG]IMG_0837 by Trevor Courkamp, on Flickr

Mounted the relays, fuse block, and the terminal block
[IMG]FullSizeR (1) by Trevor Courkamp, on Flickr

    Ran the wires
[IMG]IMG_0843 by Trevor Courkamp, on Flickr

Mounted the tray in the truck and ran the power wire to the fuse block and grounded the relays.

Now all that's left to do is run wires to my accessories and switches. Should make for a clean wiring set up when finished. Waiting on some parts before I finish this project but I will update when complete

Time for a little update on the build. Lots has been changing since the last post. The switch panel is complete.

I blew a toytec coilover so I have since upgraded the front suspension to King extended travel coilovers with Camburg Uniball Arms

[IMG]4C773E02-98CB-4FDD-90CD-E6DF0BA7EC35 by Trevor Courkamp, on Flickr

Also added some ditch lights on some simple home made brackets. Project turned out well

In addition to the front suspension upgrade I added some toytec boss rear shocks to replace my soft valved bilstein 1500's. The ride is vastly improved.
