What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Dropped off my Pro at my detailer for Ceramic coating along with tint. Thursday can't come soon enough.

Anyone interested in the front Toyota and SR5 logos?

 

It looks good Shannon!! Mine is at the dealership now. About those Nfabs. Can you put your fingers between the bar and the truck to be able to clean underneath the truck. The reason I ask I had these on my Tacoma and did not like that it was hard to reach in there to clean that area. Yours look like there is room. Thanks Don.

Well I emptied my wallet, sort of want to be different, TRD wheels being replaced with Black Rhino Warlords. Have a buyer lined up for my 5 TRD wheels once my new wheels arrive early next week. I'll ride with pride with my SR5!

Installed the Toyota Predator steps. I liked them on my Tacoma and I like them on my 4Runner. FWIW - I found the N-Fab step a little too far forward for stepping out. The Predators are newly available for the 4Runner.

 

Looks great. Are those 2" or 3" n-fabs?

 

Washed it and installed my hood protector. Double sided tape holds it on, low profile, effective against rock chips.

What did you paint the rack with? This is something I plan on doing this week also.

 

Traveled from the piedmont of NC to Knoxville and back today (450 miles). Up Interstate 26 and 40. A great test for power and handling since not too many people were ahead of me. I did this trip last year with my 16' Tacoma OR TRD. Today I did in my 17' 4Runner OF TRD with KDSS. The 4Runner kicked that Tacoma's butt. Power, handling, noise (even with the roof rack). For a while put it on cruise and it climbed the Interstates with ease not chasing gears like the Tacoma. Very pleased at the least.

 

No much was done on the T4R, but I tracked down the UPS truck carrying the new wheels for the wife’s 5th Gen TRD OR.

 

its got a 3in leveling lift in the front and a 1.5in spring spacer from toytec.

 

Decided to jump ship on the TRD Pro wheels that came with my 4runner, just to be different, mounted up some Black Rhino Warlords, 17 x 9 -12 offset, 285/70R17 Toyo ATII's with a 2.5 inch spacer lift. Old wheels sold in minutes on FB.

 

Just picked up my 2017 Pro today!! Lovin it. also my side tyger bars arrived today.

I just did the first oil change in the 4runner. That's most ridiculous and time consuming oil change of any vehicle I've ever owned. WTF were the engineers thinking?
