    I actually just purchased a similar product - the MMB box (multimedia box). I can update here once I receive it and have tested it out. I'm actually pretty excited about it. Here are the links. One is for the manufacturer and the other is an authorized re-seller.

    Yes I did install it and I must say it is pretty cool!

    Some highlights;

    -Both Apple Carplay and Android Auto work wirelessly regardless of what phone you have (I have an Android and use Carplay).
    -Can play movies while driving (obviously not recommended)
    -Can mirror my phone wirelessly, so anything you can do on your phone you can project on the screen (Youtube, movies, photos, videos, etc.)
    -Still have the functionality of all OEM features so I can switch back whenever I want
    -Can download more apps from Google Play Store
    -Netflix
    -Youtube
    -Disney + etc
    -Has HDMI port

    I plan to get portable screens to mount behind headrests for the kids on long drives. Would be able to mirror through HDMI.
