I'm finally sending my 89 4Runner DLX into the paint/body shop. It's going for bad Maaco white spray job to Bright Gold Metallic (3D8). I'm also replacing all the gaskets on the doors, got those from Rockauto.com.

I'm searching for gaskets for the side windows but have been unable to locate. Does anyone have a tip on where to find them?

www.toyotapartsdeal.com has the side-slide window gasket as item number #62742-89102 and #62741-89103 but they are discontinued.

If you do find somewhere that sells them, please let us know! I've been searching endlessly without luck.

I'm also hunting for these Window Seals for the Sliding Side Windows (1st Gen SR5). Where can we find these mythical beings? ___

    to many to list
mine are working and not rotted or anything but the seem to have shrunk and it is really hard to fully close the windows. I am wondering if replacing the gaskets will make them work better. I did remove the frame from the top and the windows from the frame and cleaned that all up. I had the windows tinted and used butyl rubber in a tube that I got from a glass shop. It has worked fine for years but the wind closing thing is a PIA ! I would be interested to know if replacing the gaskets would resolve the window fully closing issue . . .
