Am about to order a 2018 4R SR5 Premium. Today I asked the dealer what kind of tires came with it - he said "Dunlop Grandtrek 265-70/17 ". I asked if they were P or LT's and he said P.
Does this mean that I will be getting Passenger Car rated tires ? My concern is that I've experienced a number of people trying to run P-rated tires on crushed rock roads and end up having rock-punctures. Anyone know about these tires - are the good or bad for any kind of off-pavement use?

    Thanks - Clay

I replaced my tires within a month of buying my T4R. I sold the takeoffs for $450 which was a nice chunk towards my new C load KO2's. All Tacoma's and 4Runners come with P rated tires I think. I know all of mine have.

:canada:Our '16 4R Trail came with Goodyear Duratracs when it was new, a year ago. If it hadn't, I would have immediately gone to my tire dealer and ordered a set of 5 (not 4) Toyo off road tires, and I'd ask him to give me a few $$ for the Dunlops. - Cheers, Ted

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
I had that same tire on my Tacoma and while it was fine in town off road it scared me a bit with how thin the sidewalls are. If you can swing it you might want to look into changing those out.
