Bought this about a year ago when I was purchasing it I did not realize how bad the rust actually was. Is this too far gone? If not how would you recommend I fix this so it slows down. It is a limited 4WD with 142K

The truck was originally from the salt belt but is now in texas! Any thoughts or recommendations are helpful. It also has a bubble on the hatch as well as a couple on the hood.

Most of that looks like surface rust to me. You can sand it off, or use a wire wheel on a grinder, and then use primer, paint, and possibly a coat of fluid film or wool wax to help protect it from future rust. If the rust is all the way through the frame in spots, that's a bigger problem.

That's not too bad. Being in Texas, it shouldn't get any worse unless you live on the coast. I'd probably not do anything for it.

As someone used to looking at rusty pieces of junk in the Northeast, that thing is mint.

Like Thatbassguy said, if it bothers you you can sand it down with a wire wheel on a drill, and then paint it. I did that to my 2013, I used a product called Rust Bullet which is silver, so then I top coated it with satin black Rust-Oleum. Then I put a coat of fluid film over the whole thing. I really think I probably could have skipped the paint and just sanded off the surface rust and sprayed it with fluid film black and it would have looked great.

I did not paint the whole chassis, only the areas that had the surface rust. It does look a lot better, and it's held up great over the three New England winters that's it's gone through since.

This is fine. The welds are the first to lose paint. Being in Texas you can leave the frame as-is and it won't progress to perforation within any practical timeframe.

Looks like the previous owner deleted the rear cats. Being a V8 it should sound better than stock.

I actually just deleted those since mine went shit on me... and i was pretty tight for cash. I'm assuming you have some knowledge of p0420 code from removing them, do you have any recommendations for o2 sims?

First wash down the chassis throughly to eliminate any Sault residuals on it. Then sand rusty area, prime and paint. You still can save it.

That's nothing compared to mine. I would try a wire brush, and some W40, and make sure to always do an underbody wash from time to time, especially during dusty weather. Other than that I think it shouldn't be an issue at least for another 10 years.
