My family and I have started to prep for a potential evacuation. Anyone else in the potential path of Irma? Where are you guys/gals going?

We live 20 minutes south of Savannah, Ga. About a 500 yards from salt water. I just hope and pray it turns! We are staying in a cabin north of Atlanta if we have to evacuate.

I was just talking about evacuations with a coworker, his mother in-law is in Florida down by Tampa. Her family is urging her if she can to get out and not wait too long. Good luck and stay safe man

Yeah, my rig is covered in ash this morning. The house we moved from 2 years ago (only 15 miles away) is under a level 1 evacuation notice right now. Sad to say but the PNW could use a Irma right about now. Good luck to all you SE folks, stay safe!

Feeling your pain, I used to live in South Florida. Not missing the Hurricanes one bit. Stay safe, this one looks like it's going to be a rough one.

:canada:Have had dozens of great business, vacation and ocean racing trips to Florida since the 1960s. Just now phoned an old shipmate there and he is staying. God Bless You All and Keep You Safe, whether you stay or leave. - Ted

Well day 1 of clean up. My street is a river, and the roads look like war zones with downed trees and power lines. Even though the east did not get a direct hit, we still got 100+ winds yesterday. Luckily i am not in Miami it is underwater.

:canada:Sure glad to know you made it through and happy to see it ease off as it moved up the coast. I'll have to phone my old shipmate in mid Florida this afternoon, and I hope I can get through to him. I'm pushing 85 now, and he is older than me, the old bugger!
    All the very best, Ted

Yea i am glad i made it, i have impact glass and saw it happen all around me. So far today i have been on tree and pool duty. I have the only truck able to pull trees in the neighborhood, and cleaning all the junk in people's pools, since i know so much about them.
