No start no crank

2004was running idoling went dead all lights working on dash just nothing when turn key

 

Pour Diet Coke on the battery terminals?

 

As in died while it was running? Alternator? But it would crank with a bad alternator I'd think, just not start.

 

Get the battery tested. Check all fuses and grounds.

Don't blame the alternator yet. Like was said, it would crank if the battery had a decent charge.

If you have a very low battery, the engine can conk out while running...but usually runs rough for a bit first.

If you charge the battery up, and it starts again, test and verify 14v+ across the battery terminals. Anything close to 13v and the alt is shot.

But you have to check the battery out first.

 

Check battery first
Alternator second
If non of the above start digging, ground, cables ect

 

Ok thanks for the advice I tried charging battery was fully charged even jumper cables did nothing no click nothing has 300000 miles but is stil would go anywhere in it will keep trying anyway the check engine light doesn’t come on when turn key

 

A bad battery could cause this still.
Pull battery and have it tested
I once had a bad battery. Got nothing but interior lights,would not even turn over when jumping. They can short out internally and give you nothing for cracking amps
