Anyone have opinions on this? Other than price considerations, how well do these work on our rig? Anyone prefer one over the other?

Noticed that Kritsana21 has the wind deflectors on. Try to DM him...Not sure what brand. I was considering the dark Weathertech...

Brand looks like AVS? As an aside, who makes that basket? NI3?

I have the weather tech, in channel, vent visors installed on both my '05 and '17. They're made in Germany, fit and finish is great. Never had a problem (12+ years) with the one's installed on the '05. Weather tech customer support is A+ too!

:canada:Weather Tech here too. Had them on our '08 Mitsu Outlander with no problems ever, so bought them for the '16 4R too. They look like they are part of the truck. - Ted

I've got the Weather tech in channel ones and my only complaint is the rear's didn't have double sided tape on them and they fall down when I roll the rear windows rolls down. now that could be my stereo rattling them down lol. but never the less haven't put tape on them yet.

That's odd. Mine came with double sided tape on the rears. You may want to inquire with WeatherTech to swap them out for you.

I installed the Weather Tech bug shield and vent visors today. Really like the bug shield, and the vent visors look really good.

I'm not sure yet, but I think the driver's side vent visor might be causing a little wind noise.

Been running those for years. Love them. Just ordered a set for my new ride. I find them superior to the stick one.

Would like to know if anyone with the newer model 4runners with the auto up and down windows have any issues with the weather tech. I heard that the back one cause the window to go back down when it hits the top. How would this be solved? My wife wants a set for her 4runner.

No issues with the Weathertech examples on my 23 4R. These are USA made now apparently (as per August manufacture on my set) unlike earlier versions that were German made.

I've had my Weathertechs since Feb of 2020 and I like them a lot - except that the front ones lose their "springiness" after a while and they get loose in the channel. I had one blow off on the highway when I opened my window. WT replaced it.

The windows did not close all the way up so I was getting wind noise with the in channel visor. Ended up replacing them with the surface mount visor. Now the windows go all the up and there is no wind noise.

I'm happy with my AVS in-channel visors. Installation took some effort to enable the windows to roll all the way up, specifically I had to apply and hold outward force on each one for a couple minutes while its adhesive set.

Are the in-channel ones low profile? You got any pictures of yours installed?

    No, the low-profile kind aren't in-channel.

20231014_093211.jpg I have AVS in-channels as well. I specifically didn't want low profile so didn't know they weren't available. They do make quite a bit of noise at around 80mph though. Not sure if it's always like that because it was a particularly cross-windy day

Edit: attaching a pic of mine as well. The other thing is it took a couple of weeks for them to flatten out so they stopped causing the windows to auto roll back down when they were hit going up. I was about to break out the file and knife to cut an angle on the bottom edges before the issue worked itself out. I have the low profile hood protector
