Who has installed the Wicked Creations 5incb LT ?
Im working with a 2019 TRD pro .

I want to get the most height possible. Im running the factory shocks with the 1.5-2 inch spacer lifts upfront right now.

so. Im a newby to lifting a Toyota. Or widening.

What shocks do I need? I want the best I can get. king perhaps.
    Where do I get them?

Can I use my factory shocks till they come in?

Wicked creations…check out how they built theirs as far as shocks and stuff.

What’s your ultimate goal with this rebuild? Fast baja stuff, or rock crawling? Max height might not work well for fast driving. Especially with all the travel you’re gonna have.

As with any big project…define for yourself what the mission is. Then make decisions on components after that.

They are getting with me in what I neeed. It’s probably gonna be custom order.
Like 99% of my mechanic skills are based off working on humvees. I can figure this out. LOL

I drive cross country every summer from MS to somewhere out west. I’ll hit gravel or sand but steer clear of anything I consider heavy rock crawling. I’ll rent a jeep for that. Speed and soaking up bumps is my primary concern.

Are you gonna do sweet jumps with it? I think you should. :D It will be interesting to see WCs opinion regarding going with a maximum height lift vs a bit more squat for your specific use case.A71484E2-6618-4C03-864B-EA79E960BD2C.jpg

I just want to run 35$ With no srubbing.
Scooting the forward axle plus 2 , putting DRT cab mount kit on , and modding how my fenders bolt on with the kit might do it alone

I was gonna try and install the kit with my Fox shocks till I get better. maybe it will fit like so.

Nah, I dont think those shocks belong anywhere near the new architecture. You probably have wildly different needs with regard to extended/compressed lengths and overall stroke. Im betting they get destroyed quickly if you put them on. Unless it’s just so you can park it (even then, would they fit?)

How quickly do you work anyway lol? Doesnt this kit require welding and such? Just have WC set you up and hold out for the proper shocks. In the meantime enjoy the process of getting this thing built up.

Not sure what size coilovers you need exactly, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get bypass shocks for this set-up as well. You now have the capability with the extra mount on the LCA. Bypass shocks will take your suspension to a whole new level that will blow your mind! You will need a custom shock hoop fabricated for the front to run this set-up.

King isn't necessarily the best. Look into Fox Factory Race Series 2.5's with adjusters. Also look into ADS. Any of these 3 choices are very solid. Have Accutune customize the valving for you.

Also, you should be getting the Wicked Creations Catilever set-up for the rear.

    Do not squander this opportunity.

After realizing that I am correct, you can thank me by getting me some coilovers for my rig ;)

IIRC, Lower shock mounts on the Fox won't work with those type mounting points on the WC arms.
Most custom shocks have heim joints w misalignment spacers, not bushing ends like the Toyota oem.
Hope WC has those shocks in stock.
Wait times for Kings are 6 to 10 months, maybe longer. I heard over a year at one point, but I think they've gotten a little better.
Fox might be a little sooner. If you live in a corrosive environment, go with Fox. Their stuff holds up better.
Accutune has a really good comparison write up on their page.

Thanks for the compliment. Not sure what you mean about Fox wont work with those mounting types.

And yes lead times are still gnarly, especially with any type of custom shock. If you know the specific shock lengths you need, we can certainly help out. I would definitely contact Wicked Creations about the shocks they recommend for their kit. Hose routing, bypass layout etc.

Yea I wasn't very clear on that statement.
OP was discussing an option of installing his TRD Fox shocks with the bushing rod ends on the WC LCAs. I don't believe those will work in that application, but I could be mistaken.

Appreciate you guys jumping in on the forum and keeping us honest. Your web site is top notch too. So much misinformation that we spread on the forums, it's nice to have a reference in these discussions.

I have no idea it was the ones they l “ hooked “me up with. The box says the shocks fit but they don’t.

I really just need to see good pics of how the rest of the kit looks installed.

I’m using the one I got sent. The box says it’s for my vehicle. But it don’t.

I hate my life. Nothing goes right.
Everyone else’s shit bolts on. I have a to dissemble 5 time a and return parts. I’m tired of all this.

The box says it’s for your vehicle, but why would that matter? Did you order shocks for a regular 4runner? You’re changing out the entire mechanical aspect of the suspension, so it’s not really a 4runner any more in that regard.

Was it WC that hooked you up with the shocks for this kit? Seems very odd if they sent you the wrong thing. Hopefully it was just an honest mistake. That is, if they were the ones to advise you on shock selection, since it’s not clear who you bought the shocks from.

You haven’t been able to get instructions or guidance on the install from WC? For such a huge project, I have to believe they would want to help you get it done right!

Step back and regroup. It’s no good wrenching when you’re pissed, at least judging from my own screw ups when I’m pissed lol

Whats the part number on the box? I can help you identify more about the shocks if you provide that info. If they are a custom spec for their kit, thats a whole other story.

OEM 4th and 5th gen 4Runner should have a pin top upper mount and a lower mount configuration like this used one off of my 5th gen.

There is more to it as well. OP @Jhud0421 should reach out to who he bought from to address the issue. I would highly suggest not trying to make these shocks work on your 4Runner.

They just sold me Tacoma shock instead of the 4 runner. Kings rep said they were the same shocks and is being an ass about it according to mammoth.. and it’s a clusterfuck I’m dealing with it. Apparently kings reps don’t wanna take em back they got an attitude with the person I bought then from apparently. Their ego is bigger that making a mistake I guess. I’m on my own. Or they are out. Either way I’m like not Happy. Next set of coils overs won’t be kings. King must be really bad off financially if they are trying to fuck me out of 2000$.
I have the option to resell them Or make a pp claim. Apparently person I bought them from are broke they told me all the stuff about kings rep.
I’m not having a good time
