How do you like the DK UPCs? I was thinking of getting the Heim joint ones...but I have never had to maintain uni-ball/heim joint UPCs. If the shop I am going to work with didn't mention the DKs to me I would have already purchased the Ironman4x4 UPCs.

I saw that when looking for tires, didn’t realize their only E rating for the 255/80 size

For weight I’ll look back at 285/70s then in a C or SL rating, which means I’ll look at rims that have a 0 to a -10 offset. Hardly much of a choice her in Canada that is in stock, and shipping from US is the cost of a 6th rim. And then that means trimming, which I can live with but want to avoid a BMC. Wish there were some good vids to see all specific cases just for 4Runners. Maybe I’ll see about making one on the next local group meet up.

I’m thinking of the Ironman UPCs as well.

They are on sale right now on their website for $640.00 before tax. Usually they are $800.00.

Eibach Stage 2 lift. Pro front grill. Sound deaden doors, cargo area, and rear tailgate. Diode Dynamics fog lights. Anytime front camera. Kicker sub and amp. GX rear bump stop and Energy Suspension front bump stop. FJ cruiser shift knob

Thinking about the same setup. Did you install it yourself? If so which front shock removal method did you use? How do they ride so far?

Dang, I need to go make a youtube video of my lift then! Slightly different now but I didn't know now they have the Stage 2 kit along with the reservoirs too so that's new. Eibach even have UCA now too!? When I purchased mines back in 2021 (took forever due to covid), I got the Coilover (Stage 2), and 400lbs load leveling, and the rear sport shock. Weird scenario, I phoned in my order through Eibach because I had questions and the guy helped me out and I just ordered them all separately because their kit only came with 300lbs load leveling. So hence I had to do order everything separately so look more into that if I were you because I just looked, the Stage 2 can do a 1in lift in the rear where as the load leveling can do 2in so consider that with your added weight. I did 2.5in in the front and 2in in the back and kept the natural rake (sorry guys, I actually dig the rake). At the time of purchase, the load leveling was still new and even the coilovers so I didn't have much to go by so I really need to go make a youtube video after a couple years of owning it. IMO Even still till this day, the car rides a little rough/bumpy/firm (how ever you want to call it). My wife complains that my car is "too bumpy" since I lifted it but I don't off road like crazy and now I'm used to the firm/bumpy ride. But who knows, maybe getting 285 Wildpeak ATs with Dobinsons UCA also made it bumpy too? Do I regret it? No not 100% but the ride quality could be better. I didn't want to dish out thousands for Kings or something of that nature but for my style of driving it fit perfectly (Similar to your 95% daily and 5% offroading). For your sake since you'll be running weight in the back, you might want to consider the load leveling system before pulling the trigger. I too plan on getting the C4 low Pro bumper with a light bar and winch in the front. Also plan on getting the Ultra Swing from Rigd hence I went with the 400lb rear load level system so I can adjust the rear if needed. When I moved I packed my car so much, and out on my rear hitch (threw my BBQ grill back there and other junk) and the car did not sag at all so I am super happy I went with it (I need to go find the picture!). I also have a Gobi Ranger with a C4 ladder too as weight for reference.

    Here's the stuff I got:
    https://eibach.com/us/2000/AK31-82-071-03-02-TOYOTA-4Runner-load-leveling-system
    https://eibach.com/us/2000/E60-82-008-02-01-TOYOTA-4Runner-pro-truck-sport-shock
    https://eibach.com/us/2000/E86-82-071-01-20-TOYOTA-4Runner-pro-truck-coilover

Wow that's inflation for you! :crapstorm:

By your avatar pic, I thought I was asking myself this question, lol.

Had it done at a trustworthy shop. I did plan on installing it myself, but recently hurt my back and I don’t have a closed garage to work in, as I can drive into my garage but there isn’t room to work on the truck for something like this. If the weather was late spring/summer I’d work on it in the driveway.

Thx for the price note! Unfortunately, if I didn’t have so many other things to get I’d buy it now. Comes out to $860 Cdn plus shipping to Canada and border crossing ends up being $1K :(. Good thing is I’m keeping the lift limited to only 2” in the front so I can hold out on the UCA for now.

Lol! I know eventually I will get a side profile after the lift.

has anyone pushed these to 3"?

I believe its 2.5" out of the box so i'm thinking about putting the spanner on them and adding the half inch.

It's 2.0 out of the box, Eibach recommends 2.5" max height.

My 2.0s are sitting 2.75" in front and I requested to keep factory rake in rear.

I probably should've measured from center of the wheels to the wheel well, but my numbers from ground to wheel well on stock tires were...

    Before:
    Front Driver: 34.25"
    Rear Driver: 35.25"

    After Lift:
    Front Driver: 37"
    Rear Driver: 38"

    Hopefully, it's helpful.

Mine came out high as well. I drove around for a couple weeks after install prior to alignment to see if it was going to settle at all. I ended up having them spin the fronts down a little right before they aligned it. Your rear even looks abnormally high…maybe just the picture.

This was related to comment on getting Ironman 4x4 UCAs. As I only have kit lift set to 2”, but will set it to 2.5” in future and getting 285/70s on +4 offset rims.

But I originally ordered the Eibach 2.0 kit from Eibach Canada website Jan 10th. I think it’s run though a sole Canadian distributor on behalf of Eibach USA. Shipping was cheap at only $20 Cdn.

I always thought it was a little tall (front/back) but I think a lot of it had to do with OEM tires.

That picture was the day I was getting 285/70s put on, this is how it looks now. Please excuse the picture(s) apparently, I know nothing about lighting.

Well this is a little worrisome. I definitely do not want a firm or bumpy ride. Makes me second guess whether I want to install this at all.

Installed yesterday with 265s on the lowest threads. It is a firmer ride but that is par for the course on a lift. I could hit a speed bump at 40 mph and not spill my coffee I think.

My guess is it's the 400lb springs that are making it "too bumpy".

I've been doing a lot of reading on different lifts. My budget is tight and I don't want to bust into the high end stuff. But I certainly want to improve the body roll of the stock suspension and maybe get some better articulation while I'm at it. And obviously throw on some 33's. I think I've narrowed it down to the Eibach Stage 1 or maybe Stage 2. Most of the reading I've done sounds like a more compliant ride that is only harsh when you start upping the spring rates or cranking up the pre-load in the coilovers.

...still trying to figure it all out :notsure:

Since I’ll be adding a Sherpa roof rack with flare plates (100 lbs), Caliraised molle panels (50 lbs), front bumper and lightbar (80 lbs). Adding weight will make the springs more compliant. The current ride I have on Toyo A/T3s 265/70s, and while firmer than stock, it isn’t regrettable. As I understand it, to get the soft ride of stock with a lift is much bigger bucks.

Pretty much why I went with this kit myself.

You mentioned the 400 lb spring, is that the rear? Honestly, I don't even really need the rear springs. I would actually prefer to use the stock springs and a 1 in space. The only reason I have the rear springs is because it was actually cheaper to buy the whole kit rather than the coilovers and rear shock separately. Maybe I'll just pick up a 1-in spacer and try to sell the springs.

Don't expect to get much, if any, extra articulation or wheel travel from it though, I don't. The fronts of these don't really "articulate", only the solid axle rear. And to get more rear articulation, you need to go to a long trave shock. I've measured the shocks that come with this kit and they are the same length as stock, so you're not going to get any more articulation there either, unfortunately.

Ceramic tint (all glass), Toyo AT3s 285/70 C load, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, Ironman UCA, Cartrimhome TRD skid plate, RCI skids (rear diff, transmission, filler plate, catalytic anti theft), SwitchPro 9100 & MT Plate, Caliraised ditch lights & brackets, Caliraised molle panels, Sherpa roof rack, Westcott ladder, Weathertech window visors, Meso & LED interior bulbs, black badging, Weathertech mats, Husky cargo liner, Canvasback rear seat backing, Smittybilt 2781, Morrflate Quad, ARB Diff Breather, Ultimate9, TRD Pro rims, GTR Carbide headlights, DIY Knight Rider light strip.
I believe the springs for the rear that come with the kit are rare +100 lbs over factory.

Looks good! Love that combo, if I didn’t get LR I probably would’ve searched for the army green.

When I was having Eibach install the kit I asked them to keep the rake and they concurred. Reasoning was when you have 5 full grown adults, all their stuff, a Yakima skybox, and a 285 spare I figured the rear would squat a little. Or if I bring my two quads with me to the desert.

Thanks for the info! I'm surprised I never came across this in my research.

I don't carry much weight or ever tow, so I'll be ordering 1" spacers instead. I think even the stock rear is a little too stiff at times.

I can’t recall where I saw it, as nothing on Eibach website (Canada or US). I think it was a video that referenced the rear springs on their own, and noted that’s what is in this kit.
