A few of us do indeed meet up occassionally, we could set up something here soon. The weather *should* be getting nice soon....but it seems to drag on with the heat lately.

    A Saturday would be good.

I've got an itch to change something on my 4Runner. Would anyone be interested in buying my MBRP catback or AFE air intake?

Finally found a local group!!!!! Just had a Westcott Design lift kit (Just lifted collars to level it out.) installed on my 2022 4runner Pro. Gateway installed it. Picked it up yesterday and the front end seems to make a popping sound (Not the loudest but if riding in silence it can be heard.) when making turns or riding under 20mph. Was told it probably will need time to settle into place and if not come back. Does this seem correct? I thought maybe something was torqued incorrectly. Didn't know really any places that I could use that specialize in lifts' or 4x4 mods. Does anyone know of any places I could use if the sound doesn't go away?

Seems worth a call to Gateway to ask about sounds. They may offer to check torque. If not, do you have tools to check torques yourself?

I have no experience with Westcott parts. Take some pics of the collars, lower control arm alignment bolts, front axles, and maybe other suspension parts. We might be able to spot something.

    Some initial thoughts:
Check your skid plates for loose or missing bolts. Could cause rattle or knock.
Do you still have front mudflaps? Mine makes a tapping/rubbing sound sometimes but mine are also ziptied to keep from rubbing tires.
Do you have any aftermarket lighting? Could be wires got shifted and are tapping just right that you hear it now sometimes.

Pre-covid I had heard 4WheelParts off Covington Pike was ok. Unknown what's good anymore post-lockdown. I've done all my own work so don't know much else about shops here.

Definitely check torque on everything. Chances are that something isn’t torqued to spec.

@tdicarlo what town are you in? We are all over, but I'd be happy to listen to the clunk in person, they are not always easy to identify on the phone's microphone.

Check steering rods, and all the other stuff Dan and Jay mentioned.

I installed a Westcott on my friend's 2020 Pro and it didn't clunk. I have one on my Land Cruiser and it doesn't clunk either.

From the beginning it didn't, and shouldn't, something not on right or is loose. Probably won't be too hard to sort out.

    I'm in Collierville.

Still having the popping sound after a few weeks off normal riding only happens on slow turns or riding slow. Also doesn’t seem to happen all the time either. Is there a good shop that might specialize in lift kits or suspension install in the North Mississippi or Memphis area?

Check out spider offroad in Southhaven. Seem to have good reviews.

    https://spyderoffroad.com/

That popping noise really sounds like they didn't bolt a wheel hub all the way back in.

Little update on my issue… took it to Spyder off road shop and they stated they believe they fixed the issue and there were 4 bolts not torqued correctly. So this seemed to work for a few days (didn’t do that much driving was sick so not 100 sure.) but the creaking sound has made its way back but it definitely is better after they looked at it. Only seems to be when braking or getting in and out of curbs/my driveway.… going to bring it back next Friday to take another look. Do you think an alignment could make this sound? Mechanic at the shop did say it seemed to be offset and needed an alignment (had the level kit from Westcott Design installed and two weeks later upgraded to 285 K02’s and they have on receipt they did 1/2 alignment.)(Mechanic didn’t say the alignment was the main issue he just wanted to inform me. My steering wheel logo kind of needs to be tilted to the right to go straight.)

I don't think the alignment could cause the creaking noise, but the steering wheel can be recentered using the "Steer Ahead" value on the Hunter Alignment machines they are likely using.

Thanks. Hopefully on my next trip it’s resolved. It’s making me wanna just get rid of my suspension & lift. o_O (Been looking at the King’s setup. Just didn’t wanna drop that money on something I believe can be fixed since so many people run that westcott design kit with no issues.)

I wonder if it could be a bushing creaking. Maybe if one of the alignment cams is partially siezed? Or lower shock eye bushing? I've never done a Westcott product so not familiar with it or what all it affects.

Anyone think he should spray something like the wd40 PTFE dry lube on those bushings to see if it makes a difference?

Even dirty ones squeak, ask me how I know. Cleaning them with a pressure washer, and then maybe some dry lube like Dan suggests ain't a bad idea.

Was thinking about putting a GoPro under there and see if I could see anything or hear anything better… anyone know maybe the best mount I could order? Seems like YouTube videos don’t really explain the GoPro mount build underneath the vehicle

    Try this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Multipurpose...74533416&sprefix=magnetic+zip+,aps,120&sr=8-5

They are amazing for wiring, I have used a lot of them. That particular brand has really strong magnets.

What's up fellas?! Hope y'all are enjoying this beautiful day! Who do y'all recommend for an alignment for lifted rigs? I am about to refresh the suspension on the 07 (son's rig) with a small lift too and was wondering who y'all would recommend to treat a fella right and get the alignment spot on. Thanks in advance.

The Raleigh Tire in Collierville did a nice job IMO.

Thought I would post first in this group but have 4 Nitto Terra Grapplers tires with around 4500 miles on them miles. Nothing wrong with them just went with the BF K02’s. (Asking $500) If interested send me a message!

Hey, wanted to reach out in this thread and see if someone can recommend a shop to uninstall the TRD roof rack (which looks to cause folks some issues.), install Sherpa Roof Rack with BAJA designs light bar, and install SPOD touchscreen?

Removing the rack is easy enough
    Just 8 bolts
