Hey all new to this form thing but I'm finally in need of asking the questions now haha

I've been having pesky persistent code 25 on my 1991 Toyota 4runner

What's weird is back in sep-oct after my head gasket repair I had a code 25 and couldn't pass CA smog, turned out to be an exhaust leak, fixed it, and it ran great and passed smog no problem

After a few months after smog code 25 came back on but it didn't feel like it was running any worse...until recently... I've definitely feeling a little bit less power and my mpg has gone down.

I've checked all the easy hoses and what not to see if it was a similar leak to the original.

But all this leads me now to getting Code 43 today.....
    From Manuel:
"Starter signal (STA) is not input to ECM even once until engine reaches 800 rpm or more when cranking"

But I'm not experiencing any starting issues as far as I can tell...

But this all leads me to think:
Could these two issues be connected at all? Code 25 and 43 maybe they are both electrical problems with the ECM (code 43 defiantly is) I thought I read somewhere that something with the ignition could be throwing code 25... I cant find where I read that though.

I'm kind of lost with code 25 and this random new code 43 with out any symptoms is really throwing me off....

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)
