    Hello All,

I know a couple of you have questions in general about alarms because I also did at one point. It has about 3 weeks now that I have the alarm installed and it works as it should without any issues. I went with this basic alarm because if someone really wants to steal your car nothing will stop them. Mainly was after remote starting since it was more of a commodity to how I want the car to be before driving it, also included the smart start function from my phone to which the range is unlimited.

I was actually sold the VSM200 Smart Start module that uses Tmobile 2g signal and which matters if your city is dominant to the towers. One thing that I have come across with the smart start is the signal on different areas of the city, I had emailed viper regarding the issue and they gave me the option to upgrade to the VSM300/350 module that uses Verizon CDMA additional 100 dollars. I am waiting for this shipment and get it installed by the same person who did mine recently. Will give you feed backs on this area soon. And yes if you own an apple watch it is possible to start your 4Runner/lock/unlock/panic from it.

For the physically remote starter, it works 100% of the time and limited to ¼ mile. So far I have been very happy with the purchase since it is a new ride. Each time I start the 4Runner and unlock the doors it does not turn off the motor and in order for me to continue I have to put the key in the ignition and turn it twice then press the brake. It will give a signal on your actual remote I guess some sort of indication that it is ready or something like that lmao.

Also I did not go with Best Buy as my first intention and went with a recommended installer within my S2000 community.. I watched his work and he was very detailed/organized with 19 years of installation experience.

If you have any questions feel free to ask I just wanted to give a feed back to help you all.

P.S. Please excuse my grammar since it is not my expertise and I do not need you to correct it all! Lmao.
