    All,
I am thinking about ordering the shrockworks sliders for my 2017 off road... they look to be very solid, but after reading the install instructions I am a little nervous to be drilling and moving around brake lines. Anyone have experience with this install? How was it?

    Thanks!

I just installed mine a few months ago on my 2016 Trail. Its not really a big deal. Just pay attention to the instructions. You just loosen some fasteners which allow the brake lines to be moved slightly out of the way when you are installing. Biggest thing to look out for is to try to have your fuel tank close to empty as you will need to unbolt it and lower it slightly as a part of the install. I emptied mine almost completely and it wasn't a problem. It helps to have a friend assist you or have jack stands available or similar tool to hold the sliders while you are bolting everything together. Once they are on they are solid.

C-4 Makes similar Sliders that don't require drilling. I don't know the price difference in the two. That could be a factor to take into consideration.

I like the fact that the shrockworks sliders hug the body and aren't really steps. I don't like the running board type look so these were perfect. All depends on how you intend to use them and what look you prefer.

C-4 Sliders can be ordered with or without the step plates. They do stick out slightly further, but no where near as far as true running boards.

Shrockworks can't be beat. Fair price, good looks, bomb proof powder coat.

The one hole to drill is no big deal. It's in the cross member which is thinner metal. "It can't be much of a big deal if the other side already has the hole there!" That was my thought at least.

Shrockworks all the way!!!! Price is fantastic. The craftsmanship was great and they do hug the body which is a huge plus for me. 0a242f391ed1569d7b2ff88f9934f88f_2f84636b26f992e48d85985e2e4f8a33b64ad17d.jpgb511fbb8c827d27611185ca7732e2ddd_99a5fbb9fac1a9e96ab4e5d8a8aabb01f170ec16.jpg
