Thank you! It really turned out good. Next step will be the rest of the emblems and the wheels all in matte black.

I'm doing the whole 'TRD Pro facelift' thing and still debating the point at which I move from replacement parts to vinyl. I think I need to use vinyl on the front valence regardless...

I would really like todo the TRD Pro front grille replacement, but I have to save up a few bucks first. This really was a nice alternative to give it a similar look. The final was definitely a tight squeeze. I recommend pulling as much of the grill apart before laying the vinyl.

If you don't mind sharing, what does a small wrap job like that cost? I think it looks pretty good. Is the wrap durable enough to withstand chips and dings from debris?

Could this qualify as a do it yourself task or is it something that should be done professionally? Also could you buy the vinyl from the tint shop? And what brand and type of vinyl did you use? Looks awesome!!!

The vinyl was a 3M product. If you're good with vinyl I could consider it a DIY, but if your new to vinyl I would recommend to leave it with someone who is. I'm lucky that one of my best friends owns a tint shop here in Seattle. He specializes in tint and clear. Rad pain protection, but he wanted some practice, and of course I didn't mind donating the 4Runner lol.

Looks great wonder how it’s holding up ?I saw someone plastic dip it too.I just bought a 2018 4Runner .As much I’d like a Trd or even a premium I opted to be a cheap ass and pay it with cash so opted for SR5.I think in time mods will be black out emblems ,grill and rims .So to do the trd bumper it seems need to change quit a few parts .I have owned about every vehicle out there.I guess you can say I was to blame for snowmagedon in Washington.”why “ because My recent main vehicle was a 2017 Yukon xl slt .I sold it and bought a Lexus sedan.I said”we don’t really even get snow up here”!then all hell broke loose with snow and I ran out bought this 4Runner.Im loving it but I say that to every car for first week I own them .I lost tons of gadgets but less to go wrong .Any knowledge on cheapest and best way to black out all those parts interested thanks .

Im jealous of the snow you all are getting up there! I did something similar to mine that sounds like you are looking for. I had my grille wrapped like the one in this thread, plus had my fender flares wrapped black for about $600. Black out emblem kit is a Toyota piece that I got on Amazon for $80, and my black TRD wheels were around $800 bucks.

So it seems you can’t just swap the center part it’s atached ?so the trd must have different bumper inner only Right ?you would have buy the center plus brackets, grilles and center ?the bottom valance it looks like that just is 3m’ed on or clipped ?What would hold up more plasti dip or wrap?Id wrap it but I would not want spend lots on that.
The snow was a shocker .I lived in 3 states .Cape cod Massachusetts ,California and Washington. The longest being California 26 years.6 years up in Washington now.I thought summers would be cool and every year it’s hotter longer .Snow was just 1-2days and light most years .This storm was no Massachusetts storm ,but it was a big storm for here .The 4Runner feels very capable. It is not as solid my Yukon xl slt .The Yukon at 85 in huge rain storms plowed throw like it was on a dry road .I do feel very confident in the 4Runner that said.I did notice a little steering wheel slight feel through a huge puddle at 65 and don’t think I’d notice it in the Yukon. The 4Runner is definitely more solid then any sedan .You get a feeling of I could get through the Armageddon in the 4Runner .I think the Yukon with the 24” rims I had could not beat the 4Runner in terrain ability.I owned a Jeep Cj for a bit .It was fun like a go cart .the Jeep on freeway is scary to me over 60-65 .

Wow I would never drive that fast in the rain. Yes the center grill on the PRO is different. It basically eliminates the cutout for the Toyota symbol. It's about $400 for the PRO pieces to convert it to that look. There is a chinese knock off out there that is slightly cheaper and I can't remember the name, TKO maybe?, sorry. Should be able to search for it.

Vinyl is rated to last 5 years but could possibly last longer. Plastidip won't last that long but can be touched up of course. Prob the cheapest long term option is to just paint it or have it painted.

Thanks .ow 400.00 is expensive but not really as bad I thought it be worth it at that cost since it really looks nice .yeah I have a heavy foot fastest I driven a car was 175 mph lol . I guess it’s always a give and take .you don’t get a high capable off road vehicle that all so drives like it’s on rails .The off road vehicles tend to not be good at high speeds either just the nature the beast .

    Nice job!
Just ordered the TRD Pro Grille kit here for the face lift, looking forward to it.

So if I want to change wheels those black TRD wheels is a direct replacement right? They will fit the stock tires on my 2020 SR5?
