I've done what I'd call a fair amount of research on the matter.

Does anyone run the stamped steelies like the 'Soft 8' or 'wagon wheel' or 'D slot'?

I've got a 1st gen Tacoma and a set bolted up just fine as long as I used a 1/4" spacer. So I did assUme they would fit the '06 GX470 also using a 1/4" spacer. (The GX is basically a 4Runner Sport made in Japan) But they do not fit. It needed two spacers making a full 1/2" to clear the caliper. I am not going to run them like this because they poke too much and the studs would need replacing. The brand I bought were Vision 84H D Window in 17x8.

Are these type wheels just a no go or is there a particular brand I need to get? I don't want them stanced out using a full 1" spacer.
