So i have a 2023 TRD ORP and I hated the wheels and tires so I purchased Fuel Shox rims in 17x9 with a -12mm offset with factory size cooper discover AT3 tires they look amazing ride quietly no shakes at all but the only downfall is i feel as if the just wanders and grabs the crowning in the road something fierce. Is this because its now a little wider stance ? or would me putting the 265s on a 9'' wide rim cause this to happen ?

I'm curious as to why you went from a 7.5" wide wheel to 9" wide...that's got to be a major factor...were those wheels only offered in 9" wide?

With all the issues we read about with aftermarket wheels, I would think one would want to stay as close to stock specs as possible, especially if you had no issues before.

It could be a radial pull. Cross rotate the front tires (front right to front left and front left to the front right) and see if that helps

they were only offered in 9'' wide unfortunately, I ordered my truck and toyota told me they had a shortage on the trd bronze wheels so I was stuck with those ugly silver and black wheels and all seasons.

They should be close to stock since you didn’t go much larger. Chalk test it.

Is it possible that a stock 265 on a 9 inch rim is too wide and would cause the problem? I have Fuel Blitz wheels (18") with 275s on mine with no issues. I don't have the shimmy issue either. IMG_4494.jpg

Lots of good input already. I had a similar issue last summer when I had the spacer lift removed and installed 265’s. Turns out that the first alignment didn’t have enough toe in. Once they corrected the toe, it was good to go.

This... again. I'm guessing they are probably north of 40psi? Drop to 32psi and take her for a spin.

I run a 17x9 -25 with zero issues. -10 would have been a better choice, but I got a screaming deal on these wheels so I couldn't let them pass me by. Dont mind my big finger.

    Your truck looks great!

If it turns out to be a radial pull, don’t wait too long to get it warrantied. The earlier the better so the shop won’t give you too much of a hassle.

    Keep us posted

Point taken on the tires, but I too am one of those who really like the silver and black wheels. I can't see shelling out upwards of $1000 for something that isn't as good as what I already have.

That’s TRD pro grill cover I bought the white Toyota block letters just waiting to put xpel paint protection on it before I throw the letters on. I also changed the back still deciding if I want a black rear balance or paint it white to blend

your right I should have worded it differently to remove the wheels that I personally don’t care for. Plus I wanted the more aggressive stance.

So I started with the easiest task first dropped the air pressure to 35 and it seems to have less pull. Still feels off so tonight I will try to swap the tires around and see what happens.

That's such a beauty. I love it de-badged, no lettering, words, etc.

That tint looks dark. What are your front and rear windows metering at? I put 30% on the sides and back and my front driver and passenger windows meter at 28% (legal) and rear is at about 9% I think (also legal).

For what it's worth I run all my tires at 38 psi with no wandering or other issues but I haven't gone over 50 mph yet. (Stock wheels and tires.)

    Just a stunning truck.

why thank you my windows meter 00 I work at a tint shop so I have multiple layers of the higher end xpel heat rejection film. I’ve used 3m in the past but the xpel xr plus is far superior. Not trying to promote what we sell but I was a 3m certified installed for 12 years and this xpel outshines it in more ways than one.
